Were living in a world where screens are everywhere and they play a big part in our lives. But maybe you already know that too much screen time isnt good for us. Screen time feels like playing with your toy through a window instead of touching and feeling it. I think you understand what I mean. Screen time mean spending time at screens as your phone tablet computer or TV. You can watch videos play games chat with friends or learn new things online. I think you did not know that people used to spend a lot less time looking at screens. Just a few years ago people were spending about 6 hours and 58 minutes each day on screens connected to the internet. Now that number has gone up by a little bit more. This change happened because we found lots of cool stuff to do online. Yeah its fun to play games or watch shows on screens its also important to balance screen time with other activities.

Some people use screens more than others. For example kids who are part of Generation Z people born between 1997 and 2012 spend around 9 hours each day looking at screens. Thats about 2 hours more than the average person. This is because they grew up with technology and often use it for learning playing games and staying in touch with friends.

Now as we reaslise why reducing screen time is important lets talk about how to do it. Here are some tips.

Set LimitsDecide how much time you want to spend on screens each day.
Turn Off Screens Before BedTry not to use screens at least an hour before you go to sleep.
