Those who help others out of their own free will are called volunteers.
These volunteers are not a special group, they are people like you and us who come out to help others in the society and the rest of the people also join by seeing them. I have never volunteered. But in the state my country is going through, many people have come out to help others. And reaching out to help others is not a small thing. JDC is a foundation that has come out to help the flood victims. It consist of a few volunteers but now it has a lot of volunteers who are there to help people without any pay. I also want to work as a volunteer in such a foundation so that I can be useful to some people.
Volunteering increases self satisfaction:
By doing voluntary work, where the heart gets peace, we understand the real purpose of our life. Doing this gives a hearty feeling. As the JDC Foundation is working day and night to deliver food to the flood-affected people, if they are asked about their feelings, they say that they are doing it for the sake of Allah so that some People's hunger can be quenched because of them. Loading an entire truck with food items is not an easy task and filling five trucks a day and delivering them to the destination is probably the satisfaction of their lives.
Volunteer improve a society:
Taking time for people and helping them without greed drives a good society forward. In this fast-paced world, few people think about the betterment of their society. And if the number of volunteers increases, we can save our troubled society from sinking. If a volunteer is struggling in an effort to eradicate the hunger of people, then even this small act of his is considered a big act.
Volunteer gets rewarded:
I am not talking about the salary reward here, but the volunteers are familiar with the reward that they get in the form of people's prayers. They make their place in the hearts of many people. When volunteers also go to these people, they become a hope for them. The reward of which Allah will surely give to the volunteers sometime.
But such people should be rewarded. Volunteers should be encouraged and motivated more. Because they take their precious time for others.
I also want to do something for people as a volunteer so that my life, which is full of difficulties, can include people's prayers and give peace to my heart.
