You will ask, what does being vegan mean or what does going vegan mean, I will be explaining this with a short explanation before I tell the story.
Being vegan involves adopting a lifestyle that seeks to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty, whether for food, clothing, or any other purpose. This means not consuming animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey, and avoiding materials like leather and wool12.
I remember joining a vegan community because I wanted to go a month without eating any meat, you might be thinking I have compassion for my chicken, but that's not it. I wanted it to get bigger, so for that month, I dedicated it to being vegan. Most of my food where veggies, and fruits and I was having a good time until I decided to have veggies salad with mayonnaise and then share it with my vegan community people.
After taking lots of pictures of the preparation, I made a post about it. In the first image were the veggies, eggs, and mayonnaise. I was so proud of myself for showing it to my friend, it felt like I had done something other people would praise me for but after making the post, all I got was tongue-lashing and various corrections. It was then I realized I didn't do enough research on what being a vegan means. At that point, it felt like I have insulted them, and I have committed a taboo in the community. I apologized and learned something new that day.
It was then I realized I could never go vegan. I tried it and it wasn't even a month before I fell back to my old ways. The truth is that I love my veggies, I am a guy who loves his food with veggies but I don't think I can survive on veggies alone. I am a guy who loves meat and fish, I love to cook and try different ingredients. People who don't believe in killing animals for food, I understand their thinking and I feel everyone should be allowed to have their own beliefs since they do not affect other people's beliefs. I respect vegans, and I think they should let people alone if they see they are not like them.
I don't believe there is a particular food that more healthy, the only healthy way of life I know is to eat things that are good for your body and will make you grow stronger. Eating lots of fruits is also good for the health but there are times your body needs more than veggies to make you stronger.
When I see a food can cause damage to my health, I will let go of that food and focus on food that will be of benefit to me. Make sure to eat healthy food and grow strong. Thanks for reading.
