It's 3:00 pm on a Friday and am already done with the day's work. No lectures, No Assignments, No blogging just relax and Have fun far from home. I quickly called my partner in crime, my very good friend to join me on a Friday evening through Saturday morning getaway relaxing and fun time.
She always answers my call for enjoyment and fun time because she knows it's always fun with me and I know the places we can enjoy our weekend.
We were so excited for the weekend ahead. With our small handbags packed and spirits high, very set for the weekend adventure to a nearby destination known for its vibrant nightlife.
Arriving at our destination, we checked into the hotel for the night. A welcoming ambience from the hotel set the tone for a fantastic getaway.
We started with a cold drink and some catfish grilled with sweet potato chips, fried plantain and some salad. What a delightful way to unwind after a long week of work.
We took the grilled fish as dinner, it's time to let loose and have some fun. The Hotel has it all, a lively bar and nightclub, where the music is pumping, and the dance floor is calling. Dancing the night away with my friend by my side in the vibrant atmosphere, we laughed out all our worries and stress.
It's Saturday Morning, and despite the late night, we wake up feeling energized and ready for another day of adventure. We started the morning with the local breakfast around Beans and bread with fried fish.
The last time I came with another friend, we went to a beauty saloon with lots of treats but I just watched How they gave my friend a nice time. This time, I was ready to give myself a treat and I did at a very low cost. From my hair to my face down to my foot and my nails. We took beautiful pictures for memories, it was an unforgettable experience.
For lunch, we went to a highly recommended local restaurant. Known for its nice delicacy Amala and Ewedu with goat meat, this was the highest and the best I have eaten.
Leaving the restaurant for the hotel and all I could hear was the loud, arrogant conductor shouting in his local dialect "SANGO SANGO, OSHODI WA-ISALE" meaning "Sango sango, oshodi come down**" from the bus. That was when I woke up from sleep. it happened that I boarded a comfortable bus with air conditioning and beautiful music playing so soft and sweet. this made me sleep like a baby and I started dreaming of an impossible lovely weekend with my friend.
Wow, what a dream am so glad I had a nice time with my friend.
With the busy schedule I have, I can not enjoy my weekend the way I want because the journey back from work is about three hours and when I get home I have to check on the kids and the entire family. For me to enjoy my weekend I need to prepare for it and put a hold on some of the things I do.
