In business, there are traders with a heart of gold, always concerned for the happiness of their customers and there are some who are out to cheat and display the act of wickedness to their customers.

Greetings my lovely family, it's the last week of January 2025, and am so excited to share my experience.
As a mother and a businesswoman, I visit the market often to buy the goods I sell, and also foodstuff for the family. Meeting traders is something that happens every week and every other day.
There are countless experiences I have had with traders, but there is one that has never left my memory and anytime I think of the incident I quickly say a short prayer for this trader.
There is this thing called the power in the tongue when you command your day. A short line from the Morning Affirmation, I confess to command my day. "I am a champion, there shall be no loss, whatever I touch is already a blessing to affect the world positively, No weapon formed against me shall prosper, The cross has sealed my destiny....." and so on. It is a practice to build your faith and confidence in the dealings of life affairs.
It happened on a Friday morning, I didn't have much to do in the office, so I quickly signed in for the day, and assigned duties to different staff, Immediately I signed out and left for the market. It is not a food market although you can see a few traders and hawkers selling some food items but very expensive.
It was the first time I entered this particular shop, and I discovered there were varieties of hair tools and hair accessories at a cheap and affordable rate, which blew my mind so I got most of my goods from her shop, goods worth N 570,000 (Five hundred and seventy thousand naira) I took her number to build a business relationship, so we could communicate more often and she could do a delivery for me instead of coming to the shop for an item. I had automatically built a business trust with her. I paid for the goods, well packed by her salesman and I purposely left them in her shop to get other goods.
Three hours later I came back with other items to the first shop where I bought most of my goods and I discovered the shop was locked when I asked the neighbors around what had happened most of them told me it was the government that locked her shop, the drama I displayed would be a story for another contest. I cried my eyes out and all I said repeatedly was "There shall be no loss" immediately I called the lady, and her line was switched off. A week later, the shop was still locked, but I was able to reach the lady, she pleaded with me and brought my goods to my house. Today we are good friends and I have a government connection because of the woman.

My worst encounter with a trader was when I was accused of not paying for the goods I bought, just because the man was busy with other customers, I picked the items I wanted myself and gave him the money at the same time another lady paid for her goods but he remembered only the lady paying he asked me to drop the items I picked or I pay for the goods I bought for the second time. I was about to vindicate myself because his son saw when I paid for the goods and I was able to identify the currency I gave to him.
LESSON LEARNT
- Be patient and wait for your turn to avoid confusion
- Avoid troublemakers who are traders
- Be of good character
