In today's world of technology, where different applications are all over the store, many of them serve little purpose for most users like me. Acquiring a new smartphone, you discover it has been pre-loaded with both useful and useless applications that seem to just sit at the center of your mobile without doing anything. For example on my phone, I have useless Apps like Aha Games, X Park, Xarena, Beez, and Yoparty sitting idly in my app list, consuming valuable space and network data without providing the slightest bit of value. The frustration of dealing with these unwanted intruders on my device is something I’m sure many can relate to. I tried to open them, just to view and see their worth but lo and behold, they are useless to me.
The useless Apps in the circle😏
What baffles me further is the draining of my data through these useless apps that operate quietly in the background. It’s as if they were designed to occupy space while providing nothing in return. As I scroll through my device’s storage settings, I cannot count how many times I have tried to delete these useless applications that take up my space that could be better utilized by useful apps. However, I delete apps that are not system software if I see your idleness on my mobile. I need to free my space for useful apps, biko👌
I’ve downloaded various apps that could be for entertainment, convenience, or service only to find out that they turned out to be unnecessary additions that did nothing but consume space. After experimenting with these downloads, I often end up deleting them, relieved yet frustrated at their initial allure.
The main issue isn’t merely the inconvenience of having these unrequested applications; it's the strain they put on my device's performance. My phone, which I use for work and personal use, often hangs or runs sluggishly, a piss-off that can be attributed to these unnecessary applications. The experience has left me wishing for a means to eradicate them entirely, freeing my device of their burdensome presence. But no way, they are just so adamant 🤔
How can I give much attention to the irrelevant Apps?
It’s a stark contrast when I compare the useless applications to those that I deem valuable. Apps like PeakD, Facebook, WhatsApp, Keychain, Telegram, Twitter, and others enhance my life in so many ways by maintaining connections, organizing information, or streamlining my communication. These applications are engaging and serve a purpose, and they surely hold my attention far more than the unwanted Apps that my phone manufacturers decided to burden me with🤣
The useful Apps get more attention👍
I have tried to remove these applications several times, only to discover that they seem to have a way of making themselves reappearing like weeds after a failed gardening attempt😏 The pre-installed nature of these apps often limits my ability to delete them completely, compelling me to just ignore them meaning, the root of the problem remains untouched while the phone last.
Will it affect me in any way if deleted?
I guess NO is the answer. I won't feel a bulge upon deleting them; their presence and persistence make me feel like an unwelcome guest in a home that should be organized and free from clutter. These applications offer little to no values that could catch my attention, making their existence all the more useless. I see no reason why they were installed in the first place, well, reasons best known to the manufacturers anyway 🤷
My opinion is in response to the #hivelearners writing edition on the topic; USELESS APPS.
Thank you for your time, you are valued!
