Music That Hits Differently.

in #hive-153850yesterday

Music has its way of capturing our hearts, and sometimes I just want to be stuck with it for a while because there is always one song out there that fits into every mood, situation, celebration, and even struggle. Whenever I am down emotionally or physically, I definitely know what to listen to, and these songs do magic in lifting my spirit. It's the same when I am happy or celebrating something; there are songs to complement the feeling, and it's just perfect.

As individuals, music is capable of completely transporting our minds to somewhere that can only be accessed through emotions, and it just makes us feel different, while for the world as a whole, it has brought us together without hassle despite our differences.

I am a huge lover of good music, and it's not something that started today. Growing up, I loved music so much and always wanted to learn my favorite songs lyrics. I had the habit of buying lyric books, and there was no time I did not own a radio brand known as Palito back then.

Although the radio was a trend then, it meant more than that to me. I always have my earphones plugged in when alone and just listen to music until my battery gets drained. Phones came into the picture and spiced things up for me because, unlike the radio, I could choose a particular song and listen to it as much as I want.

I had the terrible habit of putting a song on replay for a long time, and it's still part of me today. Several times, my siblings would start grumbling, telling me to disconnect my phone from the Bluetooth speaker because they can't cope with my replay addiction.

Over the years, I have fallen in love with so many songs, and it's difficult for me to choose one as my favorite. I thought about it deeply just for the sake of the prompt but still couldn't still pick one because there are several artists who just know how to deliver something mind-blowing all the time. Their lyrics are always on point, and I get goosebumps listening to these songs. Sometimes, my siblings and even friends always think I exaggerate when explaining how these songs make me feel, but that's not the case.

It got to a point that I figured out that before you can connect with some certain kinds of songs, you must have had some experience that would make you resonate with every message the song is dishing out.

One of these songs is Jesus, Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood.

At the time I knew about the song, I was a teenager struggling to get on track with my life. My hope was burning pretty low, and it felt like I had lost control of my life. I had so many dreams and was millions of miles away from bringing any of those dreams to reality.

It was a Sunday morning that day; I refused to go to church and was listening to gospel songs on the radio. This song started and slowly captured my heart. I was there listening and crying. I wept bitterly even after the song had finished, and even though nothing changed at that moment, I felt relieved.

I felt like a burden was taken off me and had to find the song on my Java phone immediately. Luckily, I found it, and the song became an anthem for me. I learned the lyrics and still sing along today because the song resonates with me on different levels. Sometimes, I wonder why the song still has the same effect on me after many years, and I guess it's because of its powerful message.

In conclusion, music has been my standout companion, and I can't quantify how much it has helped me up to this day. My love for "Jesus Take The Wheel" doesn't have very much to do with my religion, and like I mentioned earlier, this song hits differently. I love exploring with music, so there are still so many other songs I can't get tired of if I decide to put them on repeat for a day.

It's not a terrible habit😅
I get that those who don't love the song as much as us may not be comfortable but they do it too with their favourite songs

That's true and I never thought of that. Everyone has what they love and regardless of what it is, I don't make comments or condemn their choices.

You are not the only one that usually puts music on repeat at all. I do that too. In fact, at a stage during the time of disc, my disc does crack quick cause of constant repeat.

You just reminded me of something really funny. Those discs used to have about 20 songs on them and I always played continuously.

Listening to music is a lot easier these days and that has helped us to even get closer to what we enjoy.

I used to buy lyrics books then also, and it helped me know some songs off head then. I also do put a particular song on replay and would listen to it over and over again. Music is great especially the good ones.

Lolz, a lot of us did and it was helpful because I still remember many of those old songs very well. Music does so much more than we can explain that's why it means a lot to us.

Enjoy the rest of your day, my princess.

Thanks for the curation and cheers to a beautiful day.

I also tend to listen to a few songs repeatedly instead of exploring new ones.

You put a lot of effort into your posts, including the use of personal images. Keep up the great work!

Thanks bro, it's been a long time. A lot of songs today don't meet my expectations so I am stuck with many old songs. I prefer listening to old songs and even putting them on repeat.

Happy weekend brother, cheers.
