Happy Sunday dear lovely creators on Hive, I hope you are all doing well wherever you are, it's another interesting Creative Sunday edition, and I will be sharing with us something unique and different from my usual creative Sunday post, yea, it's not a sewing DIY, but this recipe I will be sharing with us today has a lot of health benefits which I think some of us would have need for at some point of our lives, above all, it is also a healthy refreshing drink alternative, I call it the Beetroot Carrot Juice.
I made this drink for my sister who had suffered a low PCV, meaning low blood levels after a brief ailment which was kind of hormonal related, thank god she is feeling much better and even went back to school, during her recovery, this was the gp-to drink, recommended by a doctor friend to help build her blood levels and also her immune, alongside other instructions she had to follow for quick recovery. I learned apart from these benefits, it also helps the skin glow and improves heart health.
I was about to make her this drink when she suggested I could share the making process here and inform someone who might be in need of this information, it struck me as a good idea, so here I am, it is very easy to make this drink, and the total ingredients needed cost about $1, so you see, it's affordable, without further ado, let's get right into it.
Ingredients
- Beetroot
- Carrots
You could also add ginger and I've seen people add apples to theirs as well, but I will be sticking to these two available fruit that I have.
Process
The first thing I did was wash both fruits properly under running water, as they must have accumulated dust at the market.
I continued by pealing their outer skin, peeling that of the beetroot with a knife, and more like scraping off that of the carrot.
- Next, I cut them into tiny pieces and transfer them to my blender.
- This is what it looks like at this point, I went further to filter the liquid portion, and here my beetroot carrot juice is ready.
More tips is getting a ripe and mature carrot to help give this juice a sweetened taste if you are not a lover of artificial sweeteners like me, or you could just add honey if you desire to improve its sweet taste, and that's all guys.
I hope you love this recipe and will be giving it a trial as well.
