Recently Hive Engine got another pair of tokens in the ecosystem: PANDA and PANDAMINER. But what are they and why could they be interesting? If you follow me, you know that I am into trying some tokens that provide divs, probably the first one that I got into was UTOPIS which was a total failure. But there are well-established tokens like BRO, EDS, and the pair DBOND/DAB. All of them have different basics how they work and different sources of dividends. These new tokens are part of the Panda-X project which brings new interesting features that I didn't see in some other dividends tokens.
So who is in charge of Panda-X project? It is a sibling project of Hive Learners community, managed by administrators of that community. They first created the @pandex account which first started mostly like any delegation project. Delegating HP to this projects and you get delegation rewards in Hive weekly based. But the two tokens for sure are the center of the project. With the main token PANDA being the center. Holding PANDA gives you dividends in Hive monthly basis. But PANDA can't be bought from the project. The only way to receive PANDA is through delegation rewards from @pandex.
So @pandex gives you HIVE+PANDA as delegation rewards. I started delegating to @pandex 500 HP initially I only got HIVE rewards until the release of the PANDA token. After the release I received the correspondent of PANDA that I should have received since my delegation started, which gave me around 64 tokens. But how does PANDAMINER fit into the ecosystem? It is an interesting way that the owners created to give an option for those who don't want to delegate their HP for many reasons. One extra interesting characteristic is that every PANDAMINER is backed by 1 HIVE. So no matter what, there is 1 HIVE to be swapped back for every PANDAMINER. And since holding 1 PANDAMINER gives you the same rewards as delegating 1 HP to @pandex.
Well, to unstake HP into hive it takes weeks. If you hold PANDAMINER you can swap anytime for 1 HIVE without the waiting time period of HP. PANDAMINER will provide you with delegations rewards in the form of PANDA+Hive like any HP delegated to @pandex and the unstake takes only 14 weeks. I bought initially 33 PANDAMINER just to test and it is actually giving me proportional delegation rewards.
How PANDA provides Divs? Well, you can check their website at https://panda-x.io/ you can check which tokens they are investing and how the growth is happening. The group is diversifying the investments in Hive tokens like some mentioned in the first paragraph, of course excluding UTOPIS which is a failed project. So essentially we will get dividends based on these investments and the promise of compounding.
So I think the big thing of this project is the exit in case of Hive fails. We can remove the delegation from the account and power down easily like the rest of our HP. For PANDAMINER, the unstaking period is reduced as 14 days, half of unstaking HP, since we have 1 HIVE in the market reserved for each of our tokens we can just buy back immediately without losing money. Also the promise that perhaps the price of each pandaminer can be adjusted while the account grows.In conclusion, while Hive is still good it is a great way to see some assets growing. Eu comprei inicialmente 33 PANDAMINER apenas para testar e ele está realmente me dando recompensas de delegação proporcionais.
