Before I go any further, first thing first! My name is Emmanuel, I am a developer(full stack web developer), a musician (guitar and the piano), and also, a data analyst (Rstudio), weird right? I do almost everything to add and give out values anywhere I find myself and this has always been my goal ever since I started fending for myself.
Many people fail to see the reason to give values where they are, everybody’s first impression and goal is MONEY! But personally, I view things in a different way, I prioritise VALUE every time. It as a POWERFUL word and it has paved way where I think is the end of the road, nothing but the word VALUE.
I cherish relationships so much that I always look for means to make the people around me feel so relaxed and know they can always depend on me for anything. I love meeting new people and funny enough, it doesn't even have to be physical all the time. I have tons of friends that I have met online and still maintaining a good relationship with.
For instance, I met a lady virtually about three years ago. She originates from United State. The time I met her, she was the type that doesn't like to face her challenges, she used to find it more comfortable to shy away from them instead. I mean, she gives up easily on everything, her emotions always have ways to discourage her from attempting what she desires, not even a trial!
This got to me and then we started to have long discussions and in the process, she saw her faults and then started to make amends. I only thought that what I did was minute, not until she told me she graduated high school with A’s and she was very glad that we met. She is in college now and she is still doing very well, and I am always proud of her growth. We still talk often and still maintain our friendship.
This is the power of value alongside with relationship. I don't joke with relationships, not to mention value. For me, it has always been value ahead of money, sounds so unreal but this is the truth.
I see hive as an opportunity to build strong relationships, add value to myself and other people, express myself, and also LEARN! Life will be very interesting in here, there’s no doubt.
Now back to how I got to know about hive. It is a product of me offering value and in turn, getting it back. This is the exact way value repays those that cherish it.
This great man is a very good friend of mine, we play the guitar together in the fellowship he attends, which I also became a member through him. We got closer daily and it even got to an extent where almost everybody thought we are brothers. We are namesakes, remember that I introduced myself as EMMANUEL?😌
I have always been seeing him smile at his laptop, but me always frowning at my screen, fixing some programming bugs. There is this day I visited and then suddenly, he started smiling while pressing his laptop as always. That particular day, I had some issues on the job I got, I was so down and here is someone beside me smiling at his laptop while I was at the verge of crying. This prompted me to ask him, "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SMILING AT YOUR LAPTOP WHILE I AM HERE ALMOST CRYING?" Then the chit chat started, where he told me a lot about hive and got really interested and decided that I deserve to smile as well. I am always grateful I met my brother in form of a friend, he is God sent.
To be very factual, I think Hive is a very good environment to have a chill and learn! And with my little experience while surfing the blockchain. I have realised that Hive offers value, I will do nothing but lay more emphasis on the word value.
I would love to help startups stand well around here because I want to add value to those that are willing to skill up. In a nutshell, I want to build strong relationships with the amazing hivers, and most importantly, I want to learn, I am always open to learning what I have an idea and what I have no idea, learning takes a major part in adding value to oneself.
