Why I Stuck with Hive?

in #hive-153850last year

Hello beautiful friends of the hive,

“I sleep at night looking at the hive, the first thing in the morning I look at the hive… have I fallen in love?”. I don't know about love but I am enjoying it a lot. I enjoy reading and commenting on the posts of strangers even more than writing a blog. Till now I have told many people about Hive and have succeeded in bringing two people to this amazing platform.

Although I have been on Hive since 2018, I am enjoying it only now. The feeling of being here and writing here is now above other platforms. And yes, since I have now quit all other social platforms, Hive helps me a lot in giving the right direction to my thoughts.

Till date, I have not seen any post or comment on Hive that hurts anyone else's sentiments. Here it seems as if everything is perfect, people support each other without any greed. Our posts are reaching every corner of the world through Hive and we are able to connect with people we don't even know. The love I receive from strangers further strengthens my belief in the hive and inspires me to stay here.

There is every kind of community here for us, meaning we don't have to wander just to write our thoughts or stories. While reading blogs on Hive feed, I explored @pinmapple community and then I started writing my posts there and one day someone told me how to pin my travel blog here. After which my perspective regarding hive completely changed. Now every day I think about writing better my content, try to bring good photos and new locations in front of you...I am enjoying all this very much.

Although I am not able to write every day due to travel, I take help from @peakd, here I schedule posts for 3-4 days, posting through peakd makes me feel safe and secure. Here I get the freedom to write 10 hashtags. I have also posted this post from peakd.

I give about one and a half hour to Hive every day, in this one and a half hour I write and post posts. I read and comment on some blogs. I reply to comments on my posts and yes, claiming rewards is my favourite. Mainly I am associated with only three communities, the first of which is @indiaunited which supports me at every step. Because I am from India and I share my journey to the Indian Himalayas in front of everyone, our Indian brothers and sisters support me. The second one is @hivebuzz who keeps telling me from time to time what new achievements I have achieved.

Thanks for reading my thoughts. Have a nice day to all of you. Be happy, stay healthy and keep doing what you enjoy.

Good post... however, I do think that people who know each other's here may get more support then others.

Yeah it's nice here. The anti-censorship nature of it makes people outside think it's some kind of right-wing, nazi platform, but just a couple of minutes on here shows it's barely even political at all and just a really nice place.

The main problem I suppose is there just aren't enough users creating content. It's not at a point where I can just refresh the page and see a whole new swath of new content, like you can on other social media. Feels very slow. The trending page can have the same front page for days.

Other than that though, Love it here!

Trending posts appear on the window for 2 to 3 days, but it is not at all that people are not creating content. A lot of good content is being written every day, but for some unknown reason a lot of it does not get trending.

I am not on any social platform, perhaps that is why I spend all my energy here, other people who are on social media mostly write on Facebook or Instagram. Well overall I find Hive very interesting because it is not as corrupt as other social platforms.
