Good day friends! I have been in a volunteer job for some time now. Whenever we reached out to less privileged people, what came to my thoughts were the better ways to make life comfortable for them.
We have reached out to the families that have nothing to eat, just 2 clothes, and they were living in an uncompleted Building.
There was a program I went to in a remote area where there was no access to quality water. The homes of residents were built with bamboo and weed, and the majority of them have no good food to eat.
That was when I was working with #Lagosgfoodbank. When I came back from the field that night, I started crying because I saw some people that looked like mad people; they looked unkempt and so dirty.
We went there to distribute food items and different types of wear (men and women wear).
Since then I have been nursing how to reach out to less privileged people.
The first program I organized, I shared 700 pens for students in Ayandelu community Junior academy. What prompted it was that a friend of my teaching in the school told me that the majority of the students do not have writing materials.

I saw the customer line and I called, a woman picked the calls. I presented my project to her, and within 5 days, they brought 700 pens to me.
That was how I started the NGO!
After that I organized a health program titled- empowering girls empowering health in ise senior high school.
Thanks to Literacy for African Child Education and Development (LACED Africa for their support.
They supported the program with 40 sanitary pads and money for the program.

I discovered that the majority of the students need personal Development skills. I called my friend who was also a teacher and motivational speaker to educate them.
I only spent transport fees and food for my friend was about $7. I was really happy because after the program, there were changes in the life of the students which was my goal.

The next Project
The next Project is Zero Hunger project!
The hunger in the land made me to think about this program. I have seen students that did not eat till 3 o'clock. I know how ise community are suffering from food insecurity. I have shortlisted 7 companies to submit my proposals; and I am sure they will support the program 100%. I have talked to 4 of them on the phone and they are happy to support it.
We are not going to share food items only, we aim to create sustainable solution to hunger through grow gardens, support farmers and persuade residents to enhance local food production and availability.
I don't have specific date right now; I talked to the stakeholders (kings, cheives, youth leaders and elders) last two week. Thought, they all are happy but I need to schedule a meeting next 2 week to finalize the date.
I will be happy to get more support from indiduals, group and companies.
