It is already 9 days into the month of December and in less than 12 days from today, my school will be giving us a break due to the celebrations and also the end of year break. I’m excited about the break even though it is short but then I’m hoping I use it well because, immediately we resume, we will be having our second semester examination. So, for me personally, I see this break as an opportunity to study as much as possible so when my exams come, I will be able to do well at it.
So, my holiday starts latest, on the 20th of December and I plan to take a day or two break from my books due to the fact that I plan to travel back home because it’s been a while since I saw my family. Also, I plan to bring some food stuffs to help me survive better during the exam period. Going home, I know I will struggle a lot to find a good time to study my books because there will be so much to do, especially trying to spend time with my family to fill myself in on the things I have missed out on.
I’m not confident in the fact that I will read as much as I want to but then, I know with proper planning and detailed goal, it will be easy to make it all work out just fine. My plan is to let my family know how much I need to study and for them to help me make it a reality. So, even as I plan to spend time with family and friends, I also plan to stick to my plan of studying for my upcoming exams. Like a friend once told me, I don’t have to make one part of my life suffer for the other, there is always a place for balance and I just need to find it.
Working (studying) during a time like this would be one of the most sacrificial things to do and that is because, a time like this ideally, it’s a time to rest and rejuvenate but then, for some of us who are students, we will have to marry work and pleasure because we know what is at stake. I believe that, after this holiday we will have another holiday, so, sacrificing this one to my studies won’t hurt, it will only make me happier in the end, which means, it will be totally worth it.
My holiday is more like a set up and I hope I don’t fall for the trick, lol. At this point it is very easy for us to forget the things that matters when we are outside the four corners of the university. And besides that, the so many activities that are always outlined during the end of year are enough distractions to take our minds off books but then, we have to be very careful if not, we might miss out of the fun and also end up not doing well in our exams. I just pray my lecturers be kind enough to set questions from what they’ve taught us in classes as they promised.

My plans for this break are very simple and straightforward and that is for me to travel back home immediately my break begins, spend time with my family and friends and spend more time studying my books for the upcoming exams after the break. Also, I plan to eat as much as I can and also get some rest when I need do. Looking at how short my holiday will be, I’m very tempted to just stay back at school and focus completely on my studies but then, I know it won’t be ideal since I don’t know how this environment would be like and it’s been a while I saw my family.
And besides some of us that are students, I’m very sure that some persons will enjoy this break because they don’t have any examination to write almost immediately after the break. This will actually be my first end of year break that I will be doing something like this and I’m hoping it all ends up well. I’m going to give it my best even as I hope on God to give me an expected end.
Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
