There are degrees to how much music affects me but then, I know I love music so much. Despite the fact that music doesn’t affect me all the time, which is only limited to audio music. No matter what mood I’m in, the moment I hear someone sing (any song at all but especially a song that glorifies God) and he or she has a really good voice, that alone brightens my mood. I love it when people sing, I can be so mad at something but the easiest way to get me to reason with you on anything is to sing if you have a great voice, or play a really nice song, the transition happens so quickly and smoothly.
Music has always been a therapy for me and it’s all thanks to my dad and everyone that does music, they made it a therapy for me. While growing up, my dad would always play music for us at night as we try to sleep and I remember I will always try to stay awake to sing along as the song plays on. Back then, I enjoyed listening to any of Don Williams songs, it was a perfect lullaby for me. It was because I struggled to hear most of the lyrics and that made it hard for me to sing along. Now that I’m all grown up, I listen to different variations of music and to be honest, I don’t have a favorite but I do have different songs I enjoy listening to depending on the mood I’m in.
Mornings are usually when I enjoy listening to music because that’s when I get the time to since I don’t have neither an AirPod or headphones to listen to music when I’m outside. And since it’s the start of my day, I always love listening to songs that help me reflect on God’s grace upon my life and to do this, I usually put about five songs from a particular artist on repeat. This is actually a new playlist I made since late last year after reading a song review by @ olujay.
Anendlessocean is the name of this artist and his songs are so easy for me to relate with. His songs are kind of personal and that made me love them more. I can go on and on listening to these songs on repeat for hours. Naturally, I love my songs on repeat and there are different reasons why but most especially because sometimes I know I won’t want to listen to all the songs on my playlist and it is a bit of an hassle to change it anytime a song plays that I don’t want to listen to.
Each song from Anendlessocean as at today, that is on my playlist are my favorite song and they are songs I go to anytime I want to play music and I can listen to them until I need to just stop playing music. They have the perfect beat and audio sound that keeps you coming for more. It makes me feel alive and happy listening to his songs. Listening to his songs just gives me this confidence I need to start each day and be full of assurance that everything will make sense in the end.
Generally, listening to a song only makes sense to me when it has a good lyrics and that is one of the major reasons I love Anendlessocean’s songs. His songs are filled with so many relatable lyrics and they hit me no matter how much I have listened to them. I’m not sure when I’ll be changing to a new favorite playlist but for what it’s worth, this artist got on my favorite and that’s because he is a worthy artist.
This is my response to the hivelearners topic on ”YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC”. Thanks for reading through.
