How I Made 300,000 Rupees In 2 Months

in #hive-1538502 years ago

I always had a thing for starting something of my own. There are no businessmen in my immediate family. All of us are doctors have day jobs so none of really tried to have a business of our own۔

Since the last couple of years the whole world has been stuck with Covid-19. Believe me or not, even now we still get Covid patients in hospital and only yesterday I read that there's a new variant of this virus that has come up recently.

Where Covid 19 took a lot of people's lives, it also provided a new life to a lot of other people as well. There's blessing in curse and there's good in bad. Let's read below how I managed to earn 300,000 in 2 months and I how I became a successful entrepreneur with a brand of my own. Here's my story:

June 2020, only a few months back, I had visited the northern areas of Pakistan which is famous worldwide for its beautiful scenic views. I traveled to a lot of different cities and villages in the northern areas and I bought some of the most famous things from there such as honey etc.

Fast forward to early June 2020, where Covid was at peak and literally all businesses had stopped completely, people were selling their household items to live and were going through the worst period of their lives, I received a call from a honey vendor from up North. I had purchased some honey from this vendor a few months ago and handed him my number in case, he wanted any help from me whatsoever. He called me and was completely devastated due to the current affairs. His honey business was dying and he told me he had nothing to feed his family. I consoled him and purchased 20 kg honey from him.

As the honey reached me, as I had bought it with a charitable good intention, I distributed all the honey for free amongst my relatives and friends. To my surprise the relatives loved the honey and asked for more. That is where my brother and I took a bold move and decided to turn this into a startup.

We ordered hundred kilograms of honey from the vendor to Karachi and then started selling it here in Karachi, keeping a good profit margin for ourselves.

It wasn't easy in the starting days. We had so many orders and all of them had to be delivered by us two brothers. The routine got extremely hectic. I would leave house at 9 am in the morning and return back home around 12 am after completing all orders of the day. After getting back home, I'd start making the next day orders and then the cycle repeated.

The business took off in no time. In a few days we already had more than 50,000 in our hands. Now, that's the stage where a lot of businesses go downhill as the owners start enjoying the initial profits but we didn't do that. We invested that profit into getting more honey and this time we ordered a huge amount of 500 kilograms.

It was ecstatic. Obviously the workload had increased ten folds but I was enjoying it. When we started this work, a lot of our relatives doubted us , demotivated us with words like:

Look at these doctors, selling honey door to door. It's a shame.

We didn't care about what anyone was saying. We kept on doing what we did best. It wasn't easy. Not easy at all. One day, I remember, I was out delivering the honey and it started raining cats and dogs. Even though it was raining heavily I still delivered all the orders of that day.

In two months, our business had boomed. We were able to earn more than 300,000 rupees in a short period of 60 days. The people who kept on doubting us, started making us offers of investments. We expanded our work. Hired workers and started to sell honey all over Pakistan.

Now, after two years, I am proud to say that our business is very well settled as we have brought the places up north. There was a time when we used to buy honey and then sell it off but now we own the place and produce our own honey with our product being sold in Pakistan as well as abroad. Due to these achievements, I was interviewed by some news channels as well and was featured in different magazines.

The difficult thing is not to start a business. It's to have sustainability. Having a sustainable business is the real deal and if you're interested, do let me know, I'll tell you all the steps that I took.
Thank you

Wow, that's a really inspiring and entrepreneurial story! I love how you took a chance and turned a difficult situation into a successful business venture. It's great to see that your hard work and dedication paid off, and it's inspiring to see how you were able to help out the honey vendor as well. Keep up the great work!

Nice business idea.
Will you provide that guy number from Hunza coz I may also supply it in my city?

We don't have contact of that guy anymore as we have our own farm built now. If you want we can supply it to you and you can sell it. If you're interested, contact me on discord

Wow!
This is a big one.
Congratulations, and, well-done!

Dear @huzaifanaveed,
Our previous proposal expired end of December and the Hivebuzz project is not funded anymore. May we ask you to review and support our new proposal (https://peakd.com/me/proposals/248)?
Thank you for your help!

Wow, what a story man! Incredible. Happy for you guys but I also hope the original honey producer who called you is doing alright too as you bought all of his honey :D

Actually, when traveling, I have seen many opportunities like this. Just a few days ago, for example, I returned from this amazing Tanzanian island Zanzibar where the locals, among other things of course, make these super cool hand made products from banana leaves. The price of these items would easily be up to 5x times higher here in Europe than what they sell it for on that island. Whenever I see something like this somewhere, I´m tempted to buy a ton of it, bring it back to my country and start selling it :D

Thank you broo this means a lot :))

As our work expanded we bought lands where we now produce our own honey. The OG guy was hired by us and now he works for us. He's very happy in this so this is a win win situation for both parties.

Dude go for it. I'm telling you, a lot of products in the villages and rural areas are under appreciated and these products are the ones we have to try our luck on. For example, Ghee is produced in mass quantities in the villages of Pakistan. Ghee (clarified butter) is made from cow's milk. It doesn't sell in good prices in the villages but in big cities, there's a lot of demand for it. So it's always about striking out on an oppurtunity. You should definitely buy some of those hand made products and try your luck in a big city :))

Man, you have no idea how bad the red tape is here in Europe :) You would need tons and tons of licenses, permissions, documents and all kinds of papers to be officially allowed to sell what you buy somewhere else... And I´m not even speaking about the customs at the borders...
