Peace requires sacrifice

Humans are mysterious, and each human is unique. Some humans love to establish peace, and some love to create chaos. This type of difference is very natural, like day and night. Everything comes into this world in pairs. Those humans who create chaos are not bad people all the time because sometimes situations make things complicated, which creates chaos automatically, which is not intentional.

I am one of the peace-loving people, and I try to maintain the peace. I always stay alert not to make mistakes or to take any action that can destroy the peace. Instead of it, several times I made sacrifices to establish peace. And I am sharing the recent one, which was a few months ago.

Several times, I have already mentioned that the professors in my departments are the lazy ones. Most of the time, they give a schedule of classes, but at the end of the day, most of the classes don't occur. Most of the students go to university from town, and going to university means spending the whole day in university, whether class occurs or not. Most of the time, our professor disappoints us by not taking class, and that really demotivates students a little. So most of the students don't take the risk of going to university when there is only a single class schedule. Most of the time, class doesn't occur, and having such kind of mentality is very natural. Nobody wants to lose their precious time by taking a high risk. In this kind of situation, very few students go to university. I can understand the suffering of students, as I also suffer for it. That's the reason I can't force them instead of being the class leader. I can't insist on them coming except by requesting it.

On that specific day, there was only one class schedule, and two students (including me) were present. Unfortunately, on that specific day, the professor wanted to take a class. I was in trouble that day because the professor wouldn't take a class with only two students, and naturally, the professor would be angry if he heard that students didn't come. And if he stopped taking classes, our examination would be delayed a lot. Our batch would face the consequences of the professor's anger, which would be very bad for us. My brain was trying to find an escape way, and a new idea came to my mind.

I went directly to the room of the professor. I apologized to him, saying that I forgot to inform others about that class, and so most of them were absent there. I requested him to take the class on another day by apologizing again and again. The professor became angry with me and told me how a careless person I was and that I didn't deserve to be the class leader, bla, bla, bla. I think the professor didn't miss any point in humiliating me.

If I told the truth, I might not need to hear those humiliating words from the professor. For the betterment of everyone, I have taken all the blame on myself. I knew if the professor became angry at everyone, then the matter would be a big issue. Based on the character of our professors, they would not miss the opportunity to make students suffer. So, I made the little sacrifice for everyone's good, and I have no regrets about it.

I think all of us who love peace make many sacrifices like that. To reestablish peace, sometimes it's necessary to make some sacrifices; otherwise, the situation will become more complicated. We need to make decisions considering the long-term perspective because, by doing that, peace can stay for the long term. We should not be selfish in this kind of situation. Moreover, there is satisfaction in sacrificing something to establish peace because we know that it comes to us for the decision we made or the sacrifice.

It's sad to know that some of your professors are like that and I hope you have another chance with that class after you took the blame. You're awesome to have done that for the sake of many.

That's a big sacrifice you made there. Imagine is the lecturer deiced to take it very serious by dealing with you only with huge moral deduction, it would have been messy.

But one thing about when we are looking out for others is that, things always turn out well at the end
