Hello Hive Learners Community!! Service is a great of human life. Service strengthen communities and boast security. In daily life we can serve each other in various ways. By holding door for someone, helping someone to cross road and encouraging when someone is at lowest. In Pakistan military services, civil services are very popular but not mandatory. In today's blog I'll throw light on the only mandatory service in Pakistan. Before heading to today's blog I wish Happy Independence Day to Pakistani Nation.
National Identity Card & Computerized Identity Card Registration :
National Identity Card registration is the only mandatory service to every citizen of Pakistan. National Identity Card is registered by NADRA National Database and Regulatory Authority. National Identity Card is issued to 18 years old citizen. Before the age of 18 year Birth Form known as Form B is registered. First national identity card is issued in 1984 while the national identity card system was launched in 1973. Computerized National Identity Card was be launched in 2000.
Purpose Of NIC/CNIC :

National Identity Card registration is mandatory for all citizens and it is used for the purposes mentioned below 👇:*
- National Identity Card is required for Issuance of Passport.
- National Identity Card is mandatory for voting in election.
- National Identity Card is key document to avail education and employment opportunities.
Advantages Of National Identity Card :
The detail of the advantages of NIC or CNIC is following 👇:
- National Identity Card helps in the identification of citizens.
- National Identity Card help citizens to access government aid programs like Benazir Income Support Program and Kisaan Subsidy Program etc.
- National Identity Card enhance the security of the state.
The Importance Of National Identity Card In My Daily Life :
I'm youngest taxpayer in my town and proud to contribute in nation's growth. My parents registered Birth Form in my early school days and on the very same day I turned 18 I visited NADRA office with my mother and elder brother to register National Identity Card. I'm used to keep my NIC 24/7 in my pocket because I feel myself secure. While traveling to other cities it requires to show the Police if they are inspecting somewhere.
National Identity Card is key to unlock and avail educational opportunities and government services for citizens.

There are various mandatory services in various countries of the world. I am glad to read about NYSC service from the fellows here from Nigeria. In Pakistan NIC/CNIC registration is mandatory service which is required to registered in the age of 18 and update after every 10 years. Being a civilized citizens its our duty to assure the registration of CNIC for the security and prosperity of our homeland.
