Before the newbie initiative started I was informed a month to by my friend who is my mentor on hive which she asked me to apply once it kicks off.
The meeting started exactly 8 pm on Sunday and it was anchored by @starstrings01 he welcomed us and then he started the lecture and taught us how to set goal for ourselves.
There are questions asked for this task and I would love to answer them below
What is the importance of setting goals and why do you need to do them for this initiative?
Goal is anything you intended to achieve in life, but in this case setting goal need a lot of dedication and hard-work, goal can never be achieve with procrastination or laziness.
What makes a goal SMART?
The person who lectured us went ahead to talk about the acronym SMART and what each letter stands for.
S.M.A.R.T Where
S stands for Specific
M stands for Measurable
A stands for Attainable
R stands for Relevant
T stands for Time-bound
For you to actualize a goal, you have to be SPECIFIC that is to know what you really want reason being that some don't know what they want exactly they do anything their friends does.
MEASURABLE are the processes or stages we need to get to to achieve our goals.
I have to check out my goal if is ATTAINABLE that is to know if is possible to achieve my goals.
For me to draw the attention of people through my prompt, my write up have to be RELEVANT which is it has to attract their attention.

What is my goal for the next two months?
My intention was to make money on hive because I saw the way my friend was always writing and making money through hive, I just want to come and write and leave but now I know there is more to hive, hive is not just an ordinary platform it involves investment and I'm ready to make more on hive.
What are your goals as regards your Hive power, your followers, your engagement, your consistency, and any other goals as a newbie here on Hive?
My first target is to increase Hive power (HP) my current HP is 22.717 Now I want to work hard through this newbie initiative and grow my HP to 300 HP this Hive power has helped my friend and I am planning to build it more, I can achieve this through hard-work, constant writing of prompt, exploring other communities that I can relate with and also by powering up my HBD.
Now to my followers, I wish to have more followers on hive through my consistency and engaging with other people on hive and to relate well in other communities through their discord channel, I wish to make good connections on hive and to be relevant more on this platform.
Hive has a wide range of exploration, I wish to explore more communities and engage more on hive, connect to more people from other countries and within my country as well, I wish to grow more in terms of engagement and also create an impact in an community I am joining
What makes a goal SMART?
Before someone can properly make a goal the person need to plan, proper planning is one of the attributes of goal, we need to understand that setting goals requires understand and thorough hard work, when you have a target you must set your mind on it so that you can achieve your aim within a stipulated time. Always remind yourself of your goal and view each day as an opportunity to further your cause.
