I used to brag about never getting high on alcohol until 2016. When I finally got high. It was during the time when I still went clubbing and all, I remember it like it was yesterday. Not because I misbehaved (I did a little) but because it was the last time I ever got drunk. I can't remember the full details of what happened in the club that day, but by the time I realized myself, the girl I was dancing with was saying she had to leave and I should run because her father traced her to the club. The next thing I saw was her father at my front and I was escaping a punch that I was glad did not land on my face.
Thank goodness my friends came to my rescue while her father was shouting that I misled his 13 year old daughter to the club. And I was like 😲 (13 years old) This girl said she was 18 (In my defense she looked 18). Everyone there was like hey sir it wasn't his fault and the man who happened to be a pastor knew at that point that it wasn't my fault at all. Talkless of the fact that she bought the drinks and the party was all her idea. It turned out it was even her dad's ATM. Card she used and that was how the father traced her. The question I haven't gotten an answer to till date is how did the pastor know that club after seeing the debit alert. Because some of the people in the club knew him quite well calling him by his first name.
Well that's not my business is it, but I still wonder at times. Talking about the drunkenness that day, this girl I had been dating for over a month suggested we should go clubbing because that was what she felt like doing. She said I should bring my friends along and she was happy to sponsor all of us. I was happy to go clubbing, especially for the drinks and food. That day my friends mixed black bullets with some drinks and gave it to me. After taking three cups I suddenly started feeling like dancing. And if you know me well, I'm not a very good dancer, but that day the whole energy and willingness to dance was there. I danced like I would have danced if no one was watching, I danced like it was no man's business and all my friends were busy laughing at me until they became drunk.
Theirs was worse. One of them along the road stopped all of a sudden when we needed to cross a small gutter. I don't know what the hell he was seeing, but he started going back as though he wanted to jump. Only for him to jump and land right inside the gutter. From there he started sleeping. We had to carry him back to the hostel before he would be caught and implicate all of us. I woke up the next day with a huge hangover, my roommate vomited all over and we were just lucky no one saw us in that state. Such a day to always remember. I'm no longer in contact with any of my friends, so I can't tell if they have taken a new leave like me.
