Greetings!
At a time in my life, I stopped believing in a better world to come, just the way a lot of people have been wishing for. I stopped believing that killings are going to stop, and I stopped believing that God is going to punish the bad by death or in any other way. Not that I don't believe in God— for sure, I believe in Him—but there are certain things happening that portray the real world and where we are heading. It's not going to get any better as far as the world is concerned; it's going to get worse, and we need to survive individually in the heat, just as politicians and top people are doing everything by all means to be in power to secure their well-being and that of their loved ones. Yeah, as it is, the world is tearing and everyone is out to fight for personal survival(I mean, a man and his loved ones).
What am I saying in essence?
As the world stands now, it will take only God coming down Himself to remedy the situation. If He decides to send anyone to earth, especially to Nigeria, the effect won't be felt, just as the world has been debating the reason God sent His son, Jesus Christ, many years ago to remedy the situation.
If I were to be sacrificed to save the world from hunger, I wouldn't agree to it because the effect would not be felt as well. Why? God once sent His son to die and make the world a better place, but look at what we have now. We have a more corrupt and uglier situation than they had then.
What makes one think I would allow myself to be sacrificed? Even if the food started coming from different angles (say the food is being poured onto the earth at different corners of the world), politicians would hoard it for themselves, their children, and their great-great-great-grandchildren. People would elect others to be in charge of distribution, and by doing so, those in charge would be likened to gods. Have you not seen such situations? It happened in the days of COVID-19 when materials were sent to people, and the people in charge of distribution instantly became gods with high authority.
If I sacrificed myself to bring excess food to the world (say everyone would get it via farming), I believe it would never reach everyone because all fingers are not equal. The poor, as it is now, would beg for it while the rich and those in power would be the dictators, buying off all the land and leasing it out at high fees to the poor.
These are just tips of the iceberg of what would happen in such a situation.
Just take a look at the type of life we are living now when it is said that God has made everything simple for us by bringing His son to die for us.
I'm not ready to be a second Jesus, no way!
Thanks for reading.
