HOLIDAY AGAIN!

Hey everyone, I'm currently sitting in my room, surrounded by half-packed bags and a mix of emotions. In a few hours, I'll be heading home for the holidays, and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I've been counting down the days until break, but now that it's finally here, I'm filled with mixed feelings.

On one hand, I'm excited to see my family and friends, indulge in delicious home-cooked meals, and relax in a familiar environment. I've been studying hard for months, and a break sounds amazing (even though we have been having breaks upon breaks in the middle of the semester😅, yet it still feels like we have not had any ). I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, enjoying my mom's cooking (even if it is just for a day😅 cos i do most of the cooking) , and catching up with loved ones. I really miss home.

On the other hand, I'm worried about falling into a routine of doing nothing productive. You know, the usual holiday trap - sleeping in, watching movies, and procrastinating on everything. I've got goals and projects I want to work on, but I fear the comfort of home will distract me from making progress. I've been trying to establish a routine and make the most of my time, but I'm afraid the relaxed atmosphere at home will make me lazy.

Actually, I can decide to stay in school in order to focus on my goals but that can only be possible if I can feed myself and I give my parents a tangible reason why I need to stay in school during the holiday. If I can't do that, I surely have to go home. Going home is important for me too because I have some pending tasks at home, and I need to prepare for my next session...food and other things. That food is very necessary 😅 (you might even think I'm a foodie😹😹)

I hope to strike a balance between relaxation and productivity. Maybe I'll set aside dedicated time for work and stick to it (wish me luck!). Perhaps I'll explore new hobbies or learn something new, especially in tailoring. I'm going to spend more time exploring the HIVE platform too.

I'm also looking forward to reconnecting with loved ones and making new memories. It's easy to get caught up in our own little worlds, and holidays are a great reminder of what's truly important.
I'm hoping to make the best use of my time at home. God help me.

But, let's be real, the temptation to do nothing will be strong. I'll need to find ways to stay motivated and focused if I want to achieve my goals.

So, if you're like me and have mixed feelings about going home, let's make a pact to stay productive and focused. Kindly share your tips for balancing relaxation and work in the comments below! How do you stay motivated during breaks? I'll be glad to know.
Thank you.
