Hello everyone👋
I hope everyone have a great Sunday.
Sundays are often very interesting because we finally have free time to do things we actually like to do. Same happened to me today, when I woke up I realised that I have an event to attend and the dress that I got stitched for myself was way too simple, so I decided to make a few changes to it by embellishing it.
So I embellished it a bit and loved the results
Now I’ll tell you guys how I actually did that.
Firstly I analyzed the bottoms carefully and decided that on which part I would like to make changes.
This piece of bottom is actually a cultural dress called “garrara” which is typically worn in Pakistan and India on some cultural events like Eids, Engagement and Wedding events etc. I decided to make the changes on the pleated part of it because the upper part would have been covered by the top of the dress.
Materials used:
The materials that were used to embellish it were;
The sequins
And the glue to stick them
Then I started to make some patterns (without using gluee) on the “garara” to finalise which one I should choose.
Firstly, I made the zigzag pattern but didn’t like it much but then I placed the sequins in a freestyle, giving space, I like that style so decided to go for it.
Therefore I marked the equal distance of each sequin from another and started placing them on the equal distance to each other.
This is how they looked after applying them to the equal distance with one another.
I was liking it alot but still I was feeling that it was somehow incomplete. Then I thought that I should add the border of squins with no space to the end of the bottom. And I exactly did that, this is how it looked like after adding the border.
Now, it was feeling alot more complete and I absolutely loved how it turned out. Afterwards I styled it for the event and it was well carried by me.
This is how I styled it, It honestly turned out great and my friends were asking me about it too. I am glad that my little effort put much difference to the dress.
Anyways, this is it for todays blog! I hope you guys liked the blog.
See you guys in the next one🌸
