Guns, bombs, drugs and the likes are not good or bad, they just help reveal the kind of heart humans have. They can be used for any purpose, but humans can take these objects and capitalize on using them for bad purposes, hence, other people tend to see the object as 'bad'.
People will always have different opinions and nothing can move forward if it's moving in different directions, so there's absolutely nothing wrong with people in an area coming together to choose one person who will be the head and rule.
But since this position is associated with wealth, power and fame, poor politics has been abused by humans. Politics is only dirty because humans have poured dirts on it.
I remember when I was in my third year in the University and we wanted to pick someone who will represent the Students (President of Student Union). I realised that people have forgotten the main aim of politics. The wealth, power and fame which are side attractions have shut their eyes to the main reason which is to lead and be a voice for the people.
This action makes people see politics itself as a dirty thing, but it's not, the system has just been messed up BY HUMANS.
Back to my story, a lot of people were injured and others were given money to vote for a particular person. It was no more about who deserves it, who has a heart of compassion for the people, but it was about who wanted the name, fame and wealth.
People have forgotten that politics is not the only way to make money, it doesn't define anyone, it should be a place of compassion and sacrifice, someone who has a heart for the people.
What confuses me about these people's act is that even without trying to embezzle money, the legal salary of politicians is more than enough.
But it's not really their fault, there are people who go into politics with good intentions and end of going bad. It's not their fault, it's because the whole system is not at its original design and just one or two people cannot go against a system.
If I had an opportunity to pursue a career in politics, I would go for it. If the system is broken it won't repair itself, it needs people to take it back to its original state.
Politics may look dangerous but every other business has ths own risks, I know some risks are higher than others but at the end of the day... everything in life is a risk, including writing on hive because what it you get no upvotes? 😂 But what if you also get up to 100 upvotes... Because it's possible, so the risk is worth taking.
If we all stay back and avoid politics, it's our loss because things will not get any better and we will have absolutely no power to change anything.
We can say that as long as we make me money, nothing concerns us with politics. Really? Nothing concerns us with the people that make decisions over us? The system may be messed up, but avoiding it at all costs will not get anything better also. So if I have the opposite to pursue a career in politics, why not?
What about you?
