Hello everyone, hope you're all doing good, still in the spirit of Easter celebration, I welcome you all to Hive Learner Creative Sunday, week 091 and today, I'll be doing a different thing, most times I'm always doing a song presentation but for this creative Sunday, I made fried rice for Easter celebration, Yayy💃.
There are times I will feel like making it in school but due to one thing or the other, I cannot make it, so since there's Easter holiday, I decided to do the cooking at home. However, I did not see some of the ingredients I was supposed to add from the store I went to, I just had to use the available ones to save myself the stress of walking through the whole market 🤣. So now, I'll be listing out the ingredients and recipes I used for my fried rice below, it's just a simple one.
Ingredients
Carrot
Green beans
Garden peas
Sweet corn
Spring onions
Chicken seasoning
Ginger
Garlic
Green, yellow and red balls
Onions
Curry & thyme
White paper
Butter
Chicken
Rice
The cooking process
Step 1: The chicken was poured inside the pot, without adding water, then I added my curry & thyme, chicken seasoning, onions, ginger & garlic, and salt. I allowed it to steam for a few minutes before adding water. Then I leave it to cook well, then I bring it down after 15 minutes.
Step 2: I washed the rice thoroughly to remove excess starch, then I poured a little oil inside my pot, add a little thyme and poured my rice inside the pot, then I left it to steam for 3 minutes before adding the water I used in cooking my chicken, the water from the chicken was not enough, I have to put more water that will be enough for rice to cook. I covered the pot and allowed it to cook. When the rice is fully cooked, I dropped down ( the rice must not be too soft or too hard)
Step 3: I chopped all the veggies, mixed them and added some spices
Step 4: I poured a little oil into the pot, added my blended ginger & garlic, and allowed it to fry. After that, I added the onions and all the veggies, I mixed them till they were well cooked ( you fry the veggies to your taste). After that, I poured the already-cooked rice into the veggies and mixed them. After mixing, I dropped it from the fire (make sure to mix with a good spoon to avoid breaking the rice) and the next thing is to feel the deliciousness in a plate!
Yeah, that's just the simple method I used for my fried rice, though there are still other methods that one can implement depending on the ingredients. However you can still make savoury fried rice with the little ingredients you can afford to get, and you can also try my recipe, I bet you'll love it 😍.
