We all have potential to do almost anything we can conceive from the mind. We all are blessed with gifts. Yet the one thing that holds all of us back including you and I is some degree of self-doubt. Sometimes it is not so much the lack of information that holds us back, it is the lack of self-confidence. And this affects some people more than others.
The moment we leave school, many of us know that it is no longer a matter of college degrees or good grades that count. In the real world beyond academics, something more than just grades is required. We call it many different names;
guts, balls, audacity, bravery, cunning, daring, tenacity, bold, brilliance, etc.
Whatever this factor is labeled, it ultimately decides one’s future much more
than the grades you get in school.And inside everyone of us is one of these brave, brilliant, and daring characters.
THE REAL DEMON IS WITHIN
Usually it is excessive fear and self-doubt that is the greatest enemy of personal genius. A situation where you excellently perform that even you wonder within yourself how you got to achieve such a thing. In many cases we know what to do and how to do it. We know the answers to solving some certain life issues, yet we lack the courage to act on the answer. Eventually we become the problem of our own problems. And this brings me to this conclusion about life that;
It’s Not The Smart Who Get Ahead, But The Bold.
You can perform very excellently in class and have good grades to compliment it. By default you're very intelligent. And such people are tagged to be smart simply because Intelligent people are smart people.
But the reality of life is that you need to be bold and courageous in order to thrive especially when it comes to tackling life issues. And many of our life issues are somehow linked to finances. It could be direct or indirect. Then the ultimate result is always the outcome of the decisions we make. And those decisions could be made out of smartness or boldness. One will help you play safely (by avoiding risk) while the other will help take calculated risk that can lead to a tremendous return for you.
The boldness to act is what brings out the genius in you. And financial genius requires both technical knowledge (which is the same as Intelligence) as well as courage.
Once fear is too strong, the power of the genius in you is suppressed. You fear to make mistakes, you fear to lose, and you also fear to take risks. But there is one thing you also omitted which is the excitement of winning. The reward that comes back to you if you do not lose. The glory you enjoy if no mistakes were made at all.
Conclusion
It is important you learn to take risks, to be bold, and to let the genius in you convert that fear into courage and boldness. Although it will not work for everyone. You just have to realize that for most people, when it comes to the subject of money, life and living, they would rather play it safe. And it's fine by the way. Because it's important for everyone not to be a successful being on earth.
