When we talk about sacrifice, we are beyond ourselves, it is a pure demonstration of love. If one day I could give my life in exchange for a better world, I wouldn't think twice. Imagine a world without hunger, poverty or disease in exchange for my life. It would be pure selfishness if I said no. After all, who am I compared to all of humanity?
Thinking about sacrifice reminds me of what Jesus did for us. I'll take a moment here to talk briefly about my religion and mention this act of love that Jesus had for all of us. Not only did he give up his life as a man, but he went through the whole ordeal. Anyone who knows the story and believes it knows that his last years were not a bed of roses. If he, who is the great king, had the humility to give us his life in exchange for salvation, I repeat: who am I before all of humanity!
To think of sacrifice is to think of others. How many times have we not sacrificed ourselves for the people we love? If you have a child, you would give your life for them, you would give up anything for their well-being and happiness. So why not do this for all the people in the world who are someone's children and loved ones? It's not because they're not close to you that means they can't have all the best in their lives. If the opportunity to make people's lives better were in my hands, I would be very happy to be able to do something so great! I think it would be an honor to be able to do that.
If you think about it, the most important people, the ones who are remembered to this day, are those who, in some way, helped humanity by solving problems, finding solutions or creating things that improved the way people live. A person who makes an impact on other people's lives by sacrificing their life, and I'm not even talking literally, are great icons who showed love for others and made the world a better place. Imagine how hard these people worked, spending hours and hours working on their projects to help others they didn't even know, providing comfort or any other kind of project that changed the world they knew. There is a lot of nobility in acts like that.
I know that sometimes we look at humanity in general, with bad news in the papers, and sometimes we get discouraged, but this would be a way of giving people a second chance. It's not because a few exceptions of people who do evil could jeopardize everyone in the world. As my grandmother used to say, “we should do good without looking at whom”, and that proves a lot about who we are, our character and how far we are willing to go to make other people's lives better. If someone from above did this for me, then I, as a Christian, should follow in their footsteps and show that I have learned from their sacrifice.

Se Ele, que é o grande rei, teve a humildade de nos dar a vida em troca da salvação, volto a repetir: quem sou eu diante de toda a humanidade!
Pensar em sacrifício é pensar no próximo. Quantas vezes não nos sacrificamos pelas pessoas que amamos? Se você tem um filho, daria a vida por ele, abriria mão de qualquer coisa pelo seu bem-estar e sua felicidade. Então, por que não fazer isso por todas as pessoas do mundo, que são filhos e amados de alguém? Não é porque não são pessoas próximas que significa que não possam ter tudo de melhor em suas vidas. Se a oportunidade de fazer a vida das pessoas melhores estivesse em minhas mãos, eu estaria muito feliz em poder fazer algo tão grandioso! Acho que seria uma honra poder realizar isso.
Se você parar para pensar, as pessoas de maior importância, as que são lembradas até hoje, são aquelas que, de alguma forma, cooperaram para a humanidade resolvendo problemas, encontrando soluções ou criando coisas que melhoraram a forma de viver das pessoas. Uma pessoa que impacta na vida das outras pessoas, sacrificando sua vida, e nem estou falando de modo literal, são grandes ícones que demonstraram amor ao próximo e que transformaram o mundo em um lugar melhor. Imagine o quanto essas pessoas se empenharam, passaram horas e horas trabalhando em seus projetos para ajudar outros semelhantes que nem conheciam, proporcionando conforto ou qualquer outro tipo de projeto que mudou o mundo que conheciam. Existe muita nobreza em atos como esses.
Sei que às vezes olhamos para a humanidade de forma geral, com notícias ruins nos jornais, e às vezes desanimamos, mas essa seria uma forma de dar uma segunda chance para as pessoas. Não é porque algumas exceções de pessoas que fazem o mal poderiam comprometer todas as pessoas do mundo. Como já dizia a minha avó, "devemos fazer o bem sem olhar a quem", e isso prova muito de quem somos, do nosso caráter e até onde estamos dispostos a ir para fazer a vida de outras pessoas melhor. Se alguém lá de cima fez isso por mim e eu, como cristão, deveria seguir seus passos e mostrar que aprendi com o seu sacrifício.
