Comparing Cost Of Living

The rate at which inflation is hitting everyone in my beloved country Nigeria is killing, we all sleeps and wake up each day with news of the hike in prices of everything. The prices of absolutely all things are skyrocketing daily, the cost of living of more than 60% Nigerians are nothing to write home about, almost everybody is living each day has it comes.

You can't price a commodity very early in the morning in a shop and go back to the same shop that same day in the evening and meet the price of that thing the same, no way! There will surely be an increment and so far prices of things are high in Nigeria, it will never reduce... what's happening now😭😭

It's just so sad that our standard of living is now very low because the money at hand can't even buy our basic needs let alone have plans on projects to accomplish. Nowadays when I go to the market to buy things I'm always shocked because the prices of goods and services are on the high side likewise the prices commercial riders now charges commuters is also extremely high.

No one can blame transporter because the prices of fuel and various vehicle parts are doubled if not tripled. It's killing a lot of people and this has lead to the reduction in the number of road users, we aren't making enough money to cater for ourselves, so everyone is just managing themselves as days goes by.

Salaries aren't increased but goods and services are high and our government doesn't have a solution to all these hardships, so this makes the cost of living very unbearable.

Looking at my present earnings for a month, it will not be enough to foot my bill at all if it's the same amount I earn outside Nigeria let's say if I'm in any European countries. I can't even survive a month, my present earning is just a stipend that can be earned in a few hours of working in any European countries.

Although, the world's economy is changing daily and inflation is hitting almost all countries but it isn't as bad as the situation here in Nigeria. Hardly can you see an average salary earner eat 3 square meals in a day. We all now ration foods and whatever we have just to survive.

If I have the chance, I will like to relocate and experience life outside my country and preferably I would love to be in any part of the European nations. Right from childhood I've been studying about this amazing continent and I've dreamed of having an opportunity to be there so as to experience life in another dimension.

I will like to see how things are done in that part of the world and also experience what it feels like to earn per hour in my choosing place of work and enjoy life at its peak. I just want my standard of living to be more improved than where I am presently.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Our reality as Nigerians is something we are beginning to make peace with because the moment you think things are going to get better boom it takes a U-turn and it is worst than before. It is everyone's dream to relocate to a country with a more manageable cost of living but then it cost a fortune to move there.

As in, the rate at which things are high now is very alarming.
