Right from childhood I've been a lover of sporting activities though I've never for once participated in any major competition, even though my secondary school was one of the best government schools that produces great runners and table tennis champions in my state, it never occurred to me to engage in any sports but I'm part of their cheer leader.
I've been a great lover of football up till this moment and athletics. I can do away with movies for months but not without watching sports, the joy I derive from watching sporting activities is always pleasing to my spirit, soul and body.
I'm currently following the Euro championship 2024 and looking forward to the Spain vs England final on Sunday. I'm also anticipating Olympic games later this month, I'm just so excited to be able to watch good tournaments in my beloved month😍
Sporting is fun but it's so draining and it involves a whole lot of dedication if you intend to achieve anything meaningful from it. Anyone who is not physically fit can not participate in any sporting activities because it requires strength and agility, that's why I always praise anyone that took sporting as a profession because it's not easy at all.
As everyone knows that there are rules and regulations that govern almost everything in the world, so also is in sporting activities. The use of drugs is prohibited for all athletes, however, some athletes still secretly indulge in the use of hard drugs to enhance their athletic performances so as to have an edge over their colleagues who don't use drugs.
I feel this is bad because right from the on set, they already know the rules and regulations before joining the profession. But what I love the most is that the athletic federations are always on their toes to test the athletes every now and then of doping and anyone caught would be stripped of his or her title and I think there are fines for doping as well.
To me, restrictions on drugs shouldn't be lifted no matter how reduced the side effects of any kind of drugs might be because anyone under the influence of no matter how small the dosage of hard drugs, will be much more stronger than those who don't use any drug at all.
For instance, if the athletic federation relaxes the doping ban a bit and asks the athletes to use a particular dosage of drugs so as to energize them a day before their performance, I know some athletes will go beyond what the federation had instructed.
They will surely disobey the order and will be using the drugs months before their games. We all know human beings are too ambitious, we always want to set an unbeatable record so as to reign forever in our choosing career and be the Almighty, so to achieve that we can do anything even if it might lead to death we don't care.
So to prevent the athletes from showing mysterious abilities from nowhere and misbehaving on the field, I believe the restrictions on drugs usage should still stand, let anyone that believes in him/herself work hard to show him/herself worthy.
Therefore, let athletes do their assignments with their natural efforts and earn their prize without any external influence. I say no to Doping!
