Labour market and the perfect wages and salary for workers .

in #hive-153850last year

Every worker deserves a wholesome amount of money as take home and the standard amount of what this should be is really debatable .
While wages and salaries should be examined and fixed based on different country's economy, it has never been the norm. Some country's value their citizens , knowing people's worth and paying an amount that is livable upon , some other countries have actually subjected the labor sector to mere slavery .

We often hear this pigin saying that
"monkey de work , baboon de chop" , this is the perfect citations in some countries , the citizens labour only for the smallest percentage of those ij power to enjoy . The government prefers to subdue it citizens to different labour while cutting back parts of their wages or depriving them of it entirely .
States government can go for months owing it's workers their monthly salaries, having to think that a governor can owe pensioners their money is heartbreaking.

Talking about the subject before us today , I would like to be of the opinion that all workers should be eligible to the same amount of pay 🤔(wages/salary), with an only exception to one so that we can honour those lines that gives us an exception to every rule.

Proceeding with my reason to butress this , i will like to say that every kind of job requires a human input and their brain work wether you are a teacher , farmer or a politician in government. No one is better than the other in this regard , we are all using our brains and Intelligent to work .
A teacher should not be esteemed more than a farmer. Teachers impacts knowledge while farmers provide food for us , we cannot do without either of them .

Mind you a farmer isn't meant to be made inferior since we now have graduates and professors in the farm field investing their engineered knowledge into food production unlike in the past where we have only the lowest in society as farmers .
Every profession should be treated with equal regard .

Paradvebture there should be a standard of payment , this should be in line with our level of knowledge and school qualification .
And just like the grading level in Nigeria .
From level 1-15 and above if more payments should be made based on this level for any kind of profession. A farmer who has a Doctorate degree should earn as much as a teacher or politician with equal degree and level.

And on this basis must there be a fixed salary for every labor personelle in the country.
In most countries the leaders and law makers receive the highest pay been highly esteemed as custodian of the law and holders of powers, dictating and putting everything under law and order. Mind you we have some unschooled men and women who have found their way into such Important positions. Because they are law makers doesn't mean that all the country's funds should be paid into their pockets . They are in a position to serve and not to enslave others .

If leadership positions were made voluntary in many countries with no special benefits attached , I can bet you that most of the people in power today will vacate their positions. Let's pay a governor minimum wage based on his certificate and watch the drama that will preceede this. 😅
Leadership positions should be for service and not a place for receiving special treatment , true leaders following this rule received true honour and respect from their subjects .

My only exception to this rules goes to our dear workers in the Medical sector , they deserve some higher pay not because they are superior people but more because of how delicate their duty discharge is . Handling human lives directly requires special brains care and attention which may not be required in other professions . Science and science related Jobs comes with so much risk and a little additional pay is a required compensation for the extra brain they deploy.

My idea and opinions remains that incomes should be based on what a country can afford, it should be the same for everyone with an exception to the medical field .

    All pictures are mine.

Thanks for reading through the lines .

I also think the current payment system isn't fair, pople should be paid equally based on their qualification and labour involved not the other round, making politicians rich in the name of serving us, and yes the medical field should be given more attention to due to how delicate their profession is.

Nice write up dear.

Thanks dearie, I'm glad that we share the same view.🤔

Thank you so much 🙏

I believe in decent salaries for all and that the minimum wage can cover the basic basket of each worker, but depending on their profession they should charge a little more, in my country this was implemented so that everyone was paid the same and it was a disaster, believe me I lived it and in my case the teachers preferred to leave their jobs because they did not feel valued, for example a friend of mine in special education stopped working and preferred to work as a worker because the workers were paid the same as a teacher, so many teachers left their positions.

This is yet another point of view and that your country did implementing that leaves a lesson for us all to learn from.

A teacher shouldn't place her worth on how much she receives. We should first value ourselves and what we do before other people can value us.
Because of the challenges of getting jobs and differences in payments alot of people have chosing career paths they do not find pleasure doing.

We should engage in jobs that we love for our various career and if the salaries are equal in all sector and job is easy to find, I won't chose farming over teaching if teaching is my passion for instance. That way people wont be switching jobs because the pay is the same, but they would rather switch to do the jobs of their passion.

Thanks alot ,I truly appreciate your engagement on this

Yes, I think that many times that is the problem that the vast majority of people work to earn more money and not because they are passionate about that work, but let's be more realistic, not only work for pleasure, but to sustain us, this is not sustainable anywhere in the world you say that there should be a standard of payment, which should be according to the level of knowledge and school qualification. If it were like that, people with more education would be paid more and be richer.

I can name 50 richest people in the world, some did not even graduate from high school and the vast majority do not even have a university degree, having the best grades and having many university degrees does not guarantee success and wealth in life, that is what we have been sold to dominate us I have 2 careers and I am studying while I work and barely make ends meet.

You are totally right dear.
Work should be sustainable too.
Anyone can chose a career path and be rich outside educational. These ones chose their own path and what works for them. They are self employed and do not work under anyone, they are entitled to their pay and can chose to pay themselves whatever amount they desire from their businesses.

This is possible too.

But have you thought about these rich men employing people with higher educational qualification and chosing to pay them peanuts in their various countries?

A form of regulation has to been in place regarding the appropriate income for labor employers in general both for those under government or others in private sector.
Educated people should be paid more but paradvebture some some uneducated ones have businesses and are self employed ,they can get richer been in control of their money .

Come to my country, you will see an governors with preliminary school certificates dictating what a professor should earn. And such people are not even qualified to be in government compared to these highly educated ones.

I totally understand your points dearie, they are very much enlightening and I'm glad you didn't hold them back.

Of course I thought about it my friend and I also understand your point of view, but what I want you to understand is that what you are suggesting will never happen because that would destroy a system that has millions of years in which the raw material are the poor, I hope to be wrong and someday see that system of which you speak sorry for bothering many times I am somewhat intense have a good day
