Over the years, we have grown so much to love technology and texting has grown to become and everyday thing for most of us. I’d classify myself as someone who loves to text over having phone calls even though I’d say it depends on the person in question. There are people who will call you and just be breathing on the phone, nothing tangible to say. If you’re not my family , close friend or someone who gives me money, don’t bother calling me to waste my time.
Okay now, tell me why you’ll pick up your phone and just see a good morning , hi or hello text from someone with nothing attached to it. Good morning what? Hello what? Hi what? And the annoying part is the fact that it’s even an unknown number. And with some of these numbers, it will just be hello, hi , hello , hi till God knows when. My first rule when it comes to texting is, as someone I don’t know, if you don’t have anything to say, don’t text me with just a hi and leave it there. Tell me what you want.
Moving on, typing in short hand is really a turn off for me when it comes to texting. So me that is typing in full, am I mad? I don’t understand some people at all. It’s not like you’re being charged per character or something so why not text in full. After all the fees your parents have payed you still have the audacity to type like an uneducated person. Once I’m texting you and you type in short hand , it’s over for you because I’m just going to ghost you.
One thing that always shocks me is how boring some people can be. Some people don’t even know how to drive a conversation in the very least. I mean where are your communication skills? If you can’t even drive the conversation at least don’t send me a one word reply. Imagine writing a paragraph for someone only to receive an okay or a sticker. There’s no way in hell you will ever hear from me again cos we are just wrapping up everything then and there.
Texting is also a form of communication and so we must make sure to communicate right. If you don’t have anything to say, don’t text me. If you want to type in short hand, don’t text me. And if you also know you’re just going to reply me with ok’s and laughing emojis you might as well block me. We are adults for Gods sake so let’s act like it. Let those with ears hear. T for thanks.
