The Night That Changed Everything: A Lesson in the Dangers of Peer Pressure and Intoxication

Drunk people always do drunk things! It was my cousin's first experience with alcohol, and unfortunately, he didn't know his limits. That single-night outing with his peers has remained an unforgettable unpleasant story in my family. This young man embarked on a drinking competition with his friends to see who could finish a full crate of beer that night. You can imagine such crazy kind of competition. Taking alcoholic drinks is not totally bad until you drink and get intoxicated. The outcome of it can be so crazy and capable of leading one into trouble.

My cousin was mocked by his friends, and the friends made him look like a low-class guy just because he wasn't taking alcoholic drinks. Whenever they gather as friends, he will be the only one drinking minerals or even water. His friends weren't pleased with his way of life and started teasing him until he got influenced and decided to be one of the happening guys in town. Such a mentality.

So they went out for nightclub and ordered crates of beers each! His friends who were used to taking alcohol didn't feel unusual even after taking 4 bottles each, but at that limit, my cousin started misbehaving. So bad, one of the friends took the phone and filmed all the stupid things he was doing and was saying while he was intoxicated. At first, he sluggishly went to pee; returning back, he left his pants unzipped, and one could see part of his private part in the public.

As if that wasn't enough, he saw a young girl at the club pass by, and he quickly grabbed her—a total stranger—and almost forced himself on her until some of his friends dragged him out of the premises. I don't want to imagine how embarrassed the lady felt. He got to exchange words of insult with one of the guys, and a fight set in. From what we were told, he damaged some properties on the premises as they were fighting with objects and getting themselves wounded. At a point, he collapsed after a severe hit, and probably the friends thought that he was dead, but they left him all alone on the floor.

After many hours, he woke up inside the security department and felt ashamed of himself. The manager first gave him the cost of what he damaged and ordered him to pay up within 3 days; it was a huge amount of money. I don't know how the girl friend got to see the disgusting video, but that alone ended a relationship he built for years. It was an experience he regretted so deeply and vowed to turn a new leaf and never allow himself to be influenced by his peers or anyone negatively.

Being intoxicated can easily lead people to behave in a socially inappropriate manner. I feel it has the capability of throwing one's brain into an imbalance state, as the person will lose coordination and start to do things that he wouldn't have done on a normal day. Thinking clearly or saying what you mean will come out of it. Aside from getting one into trouble, excessive intake of alcohol is never healthy. I am not a fan of alcoholic drinks, but I will love to see people put a limit on this substance to avoid unnecessary troubles.

Thank you

It was an uncomfortable situation for anyone and I think anyone would feel embarrassed in that situation. To be honest, I don't know what people try to achieve by drinking alcohol.
!PIZZA

It's even bitter..I don't know how people enjoy alcohol in the first place

Omo... The way some people lose themselves when they get high ehn. And it affects us all differently. Some misbehave on a grand scale, destroying properties and hurting people. Others simply make a fool of themselves and are nothing more than a nuisance. It strikes us all differently.

The effect of intoxication on people got different levels. It can be crazy 🤣
