Good day, people of Hive, I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. "I would love to talk about how much time I spend on my phone screen.".

Normally, it depends on what I am doing on my phone, which will determine how much time I will spend on my phone screen. Sometimes I spend three to four hours on my phone screen whenever I see that I am less busy, because if I am bored and don't want to read my book during that time, then I will be busy pressing my phone, either watching movies or playing games on my phone screen. And what will make me spend five hours on my phone? That means I am doing my assignment given to me in school.

What will make me know when I have had enough pressing my phone screen is when I am having strained eyes, feeling sleepy, headaches, or fatigue. What makes me need rest is that I am already stressed out. My eyes are strained, and my body also needs rest. Staring at the phone screen can cause eye strain and eventually lead to headaches.

Even though there are some ways one can try not to spend too much time on their phone screen, we can indulge ourselves in other meaningful things, such as going to the gym, because if someone is in the gym, they won't have the chance to press their phone or play games or any other type of game that will distract us from our phone. Someone can go and see nature without taking their phone along or putting their phone in a place where they won't be able to see it, and we can also give our friends our phones to hold them for us, this is just like trying to set some limits for yourself. Those who use their phones for survival will have to schedule the time they will be using them so that they won't become addicted to them.

And there are some tips that we can use to reduce our screen time! We should always pick a new hobby because picking a new hobby will distract us from pressing our phones and will make us focus on our new hobby.

We should remove unnecessary apps, e.g., games but I don't think it's possible, especially for those who are addicted to different kinds of games still, we have to remove unnecessary games from our phones. The reason we spend so much time on our screens is that there is lots of stuff on them, that's why we spend so much time on our screens. Also, we should limit the way we watch movies because it's one of the reasons why we spend too much time on our screens. Movies are great, especially when you are bored and need to keep yourself relaxed and entertained, for some, can watch movies from morning till night without knowing when to keep their phones away, while some are always glued to different kinds of short videos that would go for long hours without knowing. One must regulate this even if at all they find it hard to do so because the eyes are so important and useful to us.

We should always eat our meals without our phones. Having our phones during the time we are eating can cause a lack of concentration because our minds won't be on the phone again but on the things we are looking at or watching on our phones. This also causes the hours we spend on screens that could damage our overall health.

Let's be mindful of the hours we spend during screen time and try to reduce it agile doing other activities that could replace that, eg taking a walk to the park, or nature, and having time for reflection which of course should take our gadgets away from us and lastly, prioritising our health as it is important.

Thanks for reading.

It's impossible for us not to spend time in the front of screen because today, we always have one or two things to do with our Mobile phone but just as you have said, it's really important that we are careful of the time we spend online, it would go a long way for us.

Exactly, but we have to limit the hours we spend in front of the screen.
