Here we are again with another mind-boggling prompt, this is a very powerful question everyone must have been asking at one point of their lives: What exactly is the purpose of this life.
I have been in a lot of thought on many life questions but this particular question is deep to my root, my existence, my being, the question of what I am destined on Earth for. Generally speaking many would casually answer that the purpose of being on Earth is to Enjoy life, make that money, do anything you can to get that money whether you get it in a Bad or Criminal way that can cause harm to people or you get the money in a good way, which people believes is rather a uncomfortable, long and painful but right way of Getting money.
The reality of this type of answer is that living a good life of riches is not enough, earning and building all the mansion is just not enough because at the long run we all leave everything behind and die, Death is a very inevitable aspect of Life that most people never taught of life is short but immediately after this temporal life what is next??
Other people concept of life purpose is to leave a positive mark, Do good to others, leaving a Legacy that other people or many generations more will remember.
The Truth of this is that Legacy doesn't actually have a long lasting effect, after sometime people forget,
The only true lasting Legacy is God, Has been and He is and He will continue to be the Reason for our Life. Through him we have life, He is our Creator and only by knowing him and understanding what he created us for then we will fully grasps the concept of life and the purpose.
Many people claimed they don't believe in God, they believe that life came out randomly through some atoms and Matter that formed some stars that eventually exploded and then without any intelligence and Higher power, a complex intelligent organisms formed up, which through many years evolutions light came, water came , planets build up , living organisms came, changed to animals and plants bla bla bla.
This is just how dumb it actually sounds....
You can easily Understand the reason why you are on this Earth when you get to Know God through the Bible.
God inspired some believers that authored the Bible.
The Bible give us the answers on all the questions about the purpose of life, I will be using Jesus Christ teaching on the purpose of life.
In summary of Jesus Teaching of the Greatest Commandments in the book of Mathew 22 Vs 37 to 40
And he said to him,“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And the second is:You shall love your neighbor as yourself
Here is the breakdown of this scripture passage in context of your purpose in life.
Your purpose is to Love God, Know him, have a good relationship with him just like your family on Earth, Believe him, Trust Him and Do what he commands you to do. He commands us to Glorify Him in our way of life, He is Holy , He is Kind, He is Merciful, He is Graceful, He is
Generous and Good. Let your life show this attributes on earth.
Before you can know God you need to Believe in Jesus Christ.
The second rule is to Love your Neighbor as Yourself.
- To love and serve others: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31).
Show kindness and Love to Everyone, according to Jesus Christ, Everyone is to be treated with Love even your enemies that persecute you daily.
To make disciples and spread the Good News: "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
To bear fruit and grow in spiritual maturity: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
*To live according to God's will: "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" (Matthew 6:33).
In Summary:
In conclusion the purpose of Life is to live a Life that please God and be an Active Disciple of Christ on Earth.
