Social Media has grown and advanced to be one of the most visited places or sites or apps on the internet, little to no wonder it gained so much popularity than any other medias.
Human being are very social being, we connect with each other to survive.
Social media can be defined as a digital technology which allows the sharing of information and ideas, usually including text and visuals (Pictures and Videos), through virtual networks and communities (Internet).
Social media typically features user-generated content that lends itself to engagement via likes, shares, comments, and discussion.
There are many examples of social medias, the most popular social media is Facebook, which was created by Mark Zuckerberg. Many others includes, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, WhatsApp , TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat, with Facebook being the largest and also the most popular social media platform at nearly 3 billion people using it monthly.
Me myself I have been a Facebook user since the year 2009.
The site have been very user friendly and fun to use. Over the years I have gathered close to 3,000 friends which was rather poor due to my lack of engagement and other reasons.
One thing I discovered over the years is that without constant engagement, your followers or friends would just be dormant or very few. This is why active Engagement is very important.
A Social Media Influencer is a user on social media who has established credibility in a particular field or specialization in the industry. Usually These content creators have access to a large audience and can share information to persuade others and drive social media engagement through their authenticity and reach out to a lot of people across the internet.
Most of the time social media influencer are usually paid by the social media company, also they have big offers of money just to Market a particular product. To me this is a very lucrative business.
Can I possibly do the work of A social Media Influencer?
The truth is that I can actually do the work of a social media influencer, for a busy person like me, all I just need to do is to focus majorly on it.
I noticed recently that part of why I usually don't do some things is that my attention is solely on a particular thing or purpose.
But what exactly are the roles of social Media influencers?
build trust: Influencer have one major task of building or gaining people's trust overtime, through consistently creating a platform of trust and confidence around a particular product or services.
create interesting content:
One of the role of Influencers is to continuously engage people through attention grabbing contents, through this process, the people subscribe, like and even pay to view the influencers content. Content can be in form of pictures, video or just simple text.reach more people
Another role of an influencer is to build a fan base or a large amount of followers (people constantly following their pages) so as to reach more people.boost sales:
People majorly meet influencers to market their products because of their popularity, fan base and numbers of followers, the more creative the influencer, the more followers he has, the more sales he would be able to pull off.forming long-term relationships
Influencers build relationships with followers and fans to the extent of making them valuable.
Influencing in my own opinion is a full time job, where your attention is needed to full details. Someone like me that have a lot of Business at hand might have difficulty being an influencer because I can't give my full attention to that.
