It is always exciting when I can urge my friends to try Hive.
This time I am going to try teaching my friend how to post on PeakD.
This friend already has a Hive account which I have earlier created, so I will be passing her back the account details.
Let me think through how I might complete this mission.
Pass her the account details (i.e., the different keys). Email is fine because there isn't anything worthy in her account yet.
Get her to change the password using the hive.blog site on the spot. From that point, I am not responsible for her account anymore, and I will tell her my old passwords are useless.
Guide her to set up a Hive Keychain for her browser. This is when I will ask her to put in her passwords/keys and I look away. Still wondering how this can turn out.
Get her to test logging in and out of Hive Keychain.
Open up PeakD.com and show her how to navigate around after logging in:
- She needs to know how to log in.
- Show her where is her wallet, explain HP, and show her Hive-Engine tokens.
- Definitely show her HBD and the 20% Hive Savings account.
Finally, make a test post.
After she makes a test post, I will come over and like the post to explain how the reward system works. Ths is what might matter most. I will need to explain the reasons for different percentage allocations for HBD and HP as rewards.
But I shall keep it simple on other points.
- each post has 7 days to earn rewards
- our vote for others earns us rewards as well
- Comment on others and they count as posts.
- The thing about dustvotes and dustsweeper.
Before ending, I will show her how to check out Hivestats. There we can see all the transactions as well as account standings.
That should be enough for a start.
What else do you think I should do?
