So many people always mistake the fact that just because they think they're good people and do go things to people, that those people would do the same thing for/to them. And then they end up getting very disappointed when the other people disappoints them.
Some many weeks ago, a female friend of mine had asked another male friend of mine if she could stay at his place for a couple of days. She was among those who were evicted from the place we stay and was looking for a place to stay while she made arrangements to pay for a new place.
According to my friend who later was narrating everything to me, she had gave my friend the impression that she had no money with her and seeing how she was going to be staying for just a couple of days (2-3 days) he decided to take care of her for that few days. He made sure he got her food whenever he went to get his.
A few days later and it turned out she had no plans of leaving anytime soon and before we knew it, few days turned to two weeks. My friend probably wouldn't have gotten upset with the whole thing if not for one afternoon when he was having a casual conversation with the lady and she mistakenly spilled out how much she had in her account at the moment. According to my friend, it was more than he had in his. He said there had been days when he had asked her if she had any money to include to his so that they could go get some foodstuff but she always told him she was broke.
"Why did she pay my good with bad?" He had asked me the day she finally left and I had smiled and told him that gold things doesn't always happen to good people.
"People will always look for a way to exploit you when they find out you have a kind heart" I had said to him before walking away.
