What do you when you fall out of love with someone you know is the right person for you?

Earlier today, a friend of mine had visited me at home, and while we were discussing about some random stuff, the conversation on relationships and marriage had come up. And straight up this guy had told me that he has no plans on getting married in the future, all he wants is pay someone to bear his kids and he's fine with being a single parent.

His decision didn't exactly come as a surprise to me because for the past five years that I've known him, he has only been in a relationship once and that ended four years ago. Ever since then, he has been living the life of a bachelor who makes sure to tell any lady coming into his life that he has no plans of having anything serious with them.

And although his decision wasn't a surprise to me, I had gone ahead to ask him his reasons for not wanting a wife, and what he said was pretty simple and somewhat understandable.

He had told me that he doesn't think he would be able to be with one woman for the rest of his life because he knows he's going to fall out of love with her eventually, and would want to be with other people. So rather than put a lady through all that breakup and divorce, he would rather remain single and just have kids instead.

The moment he was done, I couldn't even find the right words to counter what he had said without sounding religious because what he said made sense. A lot of people do fall out of love with their partners, probably due to the relationship becoming boring or for some other reasons known to them, and that is why I'm asking today's question.

Because now that I do think about it, this is absolutely one of the reasons why most men do cheat on their spouse, because most men would prefer to cheat than go through the whole process of divorce. No wonder I had seen a video the other day of a lady who apparently was a sidechick, telling married women to appreciate her and the other sidechicks because they (the sidechicks) help keep their marriages together.

Crazy, I know but if you do look at it from a certain angle, it might just be true. Fortunately not all men cheat, and would rather endure and remain in that boring marriage for as long as possible but that's not fair, is it?

Personally I feel the marriage or relationship gets boring when the partner doesn't spice things up from time to time by doing things differently rather than the way your partner is used to, but then I might be wrong..

And that is why I would like for you guys to help answer this question, because you could be saving someone's marriage either now or in the future. So how do you not fall out of love with someone? How do you ensure that you remain in love with your partner and not get bored with the entire marriage or relationship along the years?
