Hi Friends👋👋
Welcome to my blog
Christmas is about knocking on the door and will be here in 20 days from today. Christmas is the most popular feastive celebration and holiday in the world and most busiest I think. Here in Nigeria, the first sign of Christmas is harmattan and then unreasonable extra price on goods and services all because it is Christmas period. They won't have been able to do that if there is price regulation on all goods and services in Nigeria.
I can't really say the year I had my best Christmas experience because I am just after the religious significance, thanking God for the Gift of His Only Son, JESUS CHRIST, showing love to many peope as we could and enjoying nice meals. I rarely go out during Christmas, I prefer staying indoor throughout watching movies, surfing the internet and chatting with families and friends. I find it weird going out during Christmas because almost everyone is going out in shining clothes and shoes it's not really my thing to go out with the crowd.

I have about 3 plans for Christmas and I haven't decided on the one to choose because I am trying to avoid every form of stress. I am presently in school because the church I attend here in school will be having Christmas Carol on the 17th this month. I can't miss the program.
I'm going to stay in school from now till the festive period and also stay for crossing over into the next year, 2024. I really want to try this particular plan because it would be my first time crossing over into a new year away from my family. I celebrated last Christmas alone in school, just in my hostel. I was the only person in the hostel at that time and the whole school area was so dry. I travelled home two days after Christmas.
One of the important factor that would make this plan the best is having enough funds to spend throughout my stay here in school till next year. I pray I get enough financial support soon to stick to this plan.
I will stay in school till after the Christmas Carol program is held. Then I will travel home the follow day or two days to meet my family. This means I will be celebrating Christmas and New Year with my parents in Lagos. I would probably be stressed with work in disguise as helping my family. I won't have enough time and privacy for myself.
I stay after the Christmas Carol program and also celebrate Christmas here in school. But, I will travel back home for the cross over service into the New Year, 2024. If I choose this plan, I'd probably travel a week before the New Year because I have only 3 days in the New Year before school resumes a new session.
My parents, friends and church members at home will be eager to see me, I have been in school for about 7 months. I miss everything about home, the serenity at evenings, spending time with family and friends and I will also get to see some of my friends that will come back home from school to spend the holiday with their families too.

I plan to use this holiday/festive period to improve my skill as a graphic designer, learn more about copywriting and take my coding lectures serious; I started learning Front-end development about 2 months ago but I paused learning coding because it was too stressful combining it with preparations for examinations at that time.
I can't be 100% focused if I were to travel home, parents most times decide not to understand, rather, they want you to do exactly what they want. I don't want to be a bad child so I prefer to avoid it.
One advantage about going home is that I wouldn't bother about food since there will always be preparations for that and I won't be lonely in the house. I will have to help my mum stay in her shop (she sells foodstuffs and sealed snacks).
Thank you for reading through
See you in my next post
