Who like you matters more in this life, those who dislike/hate you do not really matter. One thing I have come to accept is that everyone won't like you, not everyone will sync with you, like you lifestyle, your attitude, values, etc. It doesn't matter how good you are as a person or how much you try to be good to them: it can't be forced and nothing can be done about it (in certain cases). As much as haters don't really matter, certain measures must be taken in certain situations when the hater is determined to spread the hate to others: that's where I draw the line.
In the little years I've spent on this earth, it is easier for those who don't know you to easily come up with conclusion about you based on the very little info they have about you. Have you ever been told by someone about who they thought you were and how they later realized you are far different what they used to think ?. We tend to misjudge people we don't even have any relationship with based on their attitudes, relationship with others and how they talk: (ladies have special skills for this). And it is natural, we can't like everyone and can't please everyone.
I am not so bothered about the people that hate me as long as the hate they have towards me doesn't harm me in any way. However, I don't take it easy when I find out someone has been spreading false information about me, it disturbs my peace of mind. It is okay to not like me but let it stay with you, it doesn't sit well with me when a hater take any action to spread his or her hate for me to others. Crazy part is this, we most time believe those who are close to us, we become friends with the friends of our friends and can become enemy with the enemies of our friends as well. As much as I trust my friends, I don't easily becomes friends with their own friends. I take my time to know as much as possible about the person before initiating friendship.
With access to social media, it is way easy to spread love and hate now because it can be done right from anywhere and at anytime. It is amazing and at same time scary how opinions, ideas and point of views can be shared in social media and how it can be accepted, believed and adopted. Good examples are how football fans talk about their favorite players, how fans talk and argue about their favourite artistes, the best songs, the richest, the most influential, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with anyone who tries to say any false thing about me, falsehood that could affect my career, what I am known for, the one I fear the most is how people perceive me. If it would affect me, then I am taking every necessary measures I can to correct it even if it means to get the person arrested.
I don't think I would care how much I have to do to a hater to make him or her regret spreading false information about me and how I try to erase the falsehood: because some haters wouldn't care about how much damage they can do all because of how they feel. I would go to any extent my capacity would allow. Life can be destroyed just by one fake news because lies and hate spread really fast.
