I believe raising a kid is one of the most difficult job as a parent, there’s no disputing the fact that they are a blessing from God, but then there are a lot of things attached to being a good parent, which sometimes can be quite difficult and overwhelming. Parenting isn’t an easy task, it takes a whole lot of time, effort and dedication into making sure they don’t become a threat to the society they find themselves living in, and sometimes the stress and headache they give their parents while growing up is just too much and can be overwhelming…
When it comes to raising a kid or kids, there are lots of work to be done, this work is not a one action thing but rather a continuous action, and that is because while growing up a kid is able to see and process that which sees in his environment within him, and sometimes he or she might unintentionally pick up that habit, and that is when the parents job comes in…
As a parent, the moment you see your kid(s) doing something different from what you’ve taught them and you as a parent already know how it’s gonna end if they aren’t call to order, call them to seat and let them know the danger that lies ahead if that attitude or action is not put to stop. It might take time, but then that is a parent job, a good parent would do everything humanly possible to make their kids a good example in the society…
The turn out of a child is not totally dependent on the upbringing of their parents, parents can only do little when their kid is of age. There comes a time where kids have to stay very far away from their parents, particularly because of their tertiary education system or any other factor, this is when the upbringing and the quality of their parents teaching is put to test. Some kids still end up becoming a menace to the society even with the best upbringing being given to them. I have seen kids grow up fine and becoming great without having a parent or parents to guide them through life…
Parents can only do little when their kids grow up to become adults, which is why every parent(s) needs to do better in training their kids and giving them the best upbringing possible at their early years of age, especially when they are still within your grasp and control…
Training up a child in the right direction is not a piece of cake, it is a bulky task, it takes a lot of effort and determination, and that is because their future lies in the results of your training and quality upbringing as parent(s). There’s an adage that goes this way; you can only force a horse to the the river bank but can never force the horse to drink the water. Let’s relate this to the life of our kids…
I have seen parents give the best upbringing to their kids and still yet they end up becoming a menace to the society, in this case are we to blame the parents for not training the child well or the child for choosing to become a menace even after everything he has being taught to end up being a blessed child…
This is where other factors comes into the picture. A child can be exemplary and good when he or she is still within the sight of his or her parents, but the moment he or she leaves for the tertiary education, he or she becomes a menace to the society mainly because of peer group influence and other social factors. The truth is that even with the best upbringing given to a child, the future turn out of that child still lies within him or herself. The upbringing of a parent(s) is put to test when the child is far away from the eyes of his parents, this is when everyone becomes clearer…
Some kids are just the best definition of goats, they still end up becoming a menace even after getting the best upbringing from their parents, in this case their parents eventually end up getting blamed and criticized even when they’ve clearly trained him or her well, and he or she still prefers to be a menace to the society…
The problem might not be the parents but the kid himself, which means it can be either of them. A child given the best upbringing can still end of being a menace to the society and vice versa…
In summary, no parent would kill themselves because of one child, when they keep telling him or her this is wrong don’t do it and you keep telling them it is right i will do it, it will get to a point where they will leave you to be, at that moment you will see the consequences of your actions, which is why sometimes experience is the best teacher…
In conclusion, let’s try to blame the parents less for the turn out of a child, sometimes it isn’t their fault but the fault of the child born to them, the only thing we can do after training them well is to hand them over to GOD for total control…
