I have never been a fan of confinement, freedom of movement is one thing I cherish so much, and being in one place for more than one week is called confinement for me. This is the kind of life I lived as a kid, i was happy since it was just my family and I living in one place for many years, I couldn’t explore different places for many reasons but then I promised myself that I would explore places when i am of age, prolly when I am over 20 and I’ve made enough money to sponsor those trips. Guess what friends?, i am of age and i still haven’t travelled and explored places, i guess I’m slowly getting used to it…
Traveling far away from my state has never really been my thing, i never liked going on journeys that lasts more than 4-5 hours at most, any journey lasting 8-12 hours is always a big deal for me back then, and Over the years i have only being on journeys that lasts more than 6 hours a couple of times, i had to join the journey because it was for an important occasion, if not I would have stayed back. I would have ditched the trip if it was just for fun, but then i had to tag along because it was for the whole family…
This was me in the past though, the me now is quite a changed person, and i owe this new me to my friends. I have made friends in different states over the years and thanks to my constant communication with them throughout those years, i have realized a lot of things and because of these things, the zeal of becoming a traveler and an explorer has been brought back to life once again, now i am ready to explore and travel the whole of the 36 states in my country…
MY LAST TRAVELING EXPERIENCE…
I have spent all my life touring the whole of my state, i have been in different places in my state. Over the years i have only visited just two states but never explored them, which means I can’t really say many things about those places, the only thing i can say about them is just based on the very few places I’ve been to in those states…
My last traveling experience wasn’t hundred percent, it could have been the best trip with the best experience if there wasn’t a downpour that day, but then the trip became the worst because of the flooded roads and traffic, I just couldn’t wish for a more faster travel…
I have been in the outskirts of Ogun state more than 5 days now, I left home 6 days ago to my supposed tertiary school for some paperwork, my brother is a student of that school and that made the whole process quite easier, i had roof over my head and a bed to rest after handling the whole paperwork…
The thought of finally traveling faraway from home was indeed an amazing and interesting thought, I have never been that far away from home, i have only traveled to a nearer destination in the last couple of years, but then this particular trip will be longer and more interesting thanks to the kind of place it is…
These were my happy thoughts until the trip didn’t go as planned as I thought it would, the rain spoilt the whole experience to an extent but then i was happy to realize some things…
I have been here for more than five days now, the roads in this particular place is quite good, at-least it’s better than where I come from, the only issue is the route to get here, the roads at the far back are very bad, and it gets worse with heavy rainfall…
Things are expensive over here, like very expensive, i wonder how I’m going to survive two years in this place, their power supply is very very unstable, their water is not healthy enough for consumption, this area is meant for the rich…
A lot of things need to be changed here, I have only visited a few places since i landed, this is just a short visit, i will be back next year and it will be for two years when next i come back…
In summary, this place is quite interesting, there are some good things I love about this place, the beauty of this place is the liveliness and I think that’s good enough for me…
In conclusion, I don’t have a choice than to come back here next year, i have to study for two years in this place, which is why I have to be back, it doesn’t matter if i like it or not, it’s a must to be back. I will be exploring this place on my next long term stay, which happens to be next year…
