I believe in tragedy, life, and colours ( seasons )are interlinked things and that day of my life was a mixture of these things. I'm one of the cabinet members of our university society called fine arts society.
This society conducts a yearly painting competition and that was a day I'm talking about. As an artist I'm not fond of chains which bind us. The given theme of painting was like a chain for me. I wasn't sure to participate as being a joint secretary but I joined because of my friends Maliha and her sister our junior artist Minahil. Minahil is a good artist and that was her first university competition and she was excited to join it. That's why I joined. The theme was ' solidarity with Kashmir '. So my day starts with a very early good morning. I get up at 6:00 AM.
I decided to wear an all white outfit as monochromatic outfits are trending now. And forgot that I'm going for a painting competition and there are many chances of getting colours on my white outfit. But I said, ' Ramzan just does it. As I don't compromise on my style.
At 8:30 I reached there and I was a bit late and my friends were waiting and were quite angry as well. So the competition started and I was about half an hour late means late for a competition. I started with a group of my fellow painters.
We scattered our colours on the floor and that thing caught the camera man sight. He Clicked our pictures. I was in a thought about what to choose and what to draw. Maliha helped me a lot to choose. As I'm multitalented I always choose a thing rich with multiple themes.
And then I draw a lady with a green and white colour of outfit. And I draw the Kashmir map in half of the mouth of that lady. A country as a subject is female and the lady symbolically represents Pakistan and the brain ( map) represents Kashmir.
In the map I divided the map into four parts. In the first part I draw an eye, with green coloured Lens and the eyelashes are like the burned black trees. And is caged with the chain with blood on the walls. On the next half Portion of the painting I draw the graves where all the martyrdom people are buried with their names and the date of death.
And at that point I was very emotional as well, my eyes weren't weeping but my soul was terrible. And I was about to fill the last portion of the painting and I got the voice ' students time is up ' . As I heard the voice I looked around and saw everyone had completed it. I just coloured the hands filled with blood. And at last I threw a red colour on the canvas for the final touches.
And my painting completed and the teacher snatched my painting. And I was sad that I didn't get the final picture of my painting. After that, minahil and maliha we went out of the hall and saw the hockey ground in front of me. As a nature lover I forgot my pain of not completing my painting and having a final picture. I forgot that and took a long breath. We clicked some pictures from our fellow camera and I still didn't upload it. Then we went out to have lunch. So, that was a beautiful day and a tragedy as well.
