Hello community and friends, today a topic that takes us back to the history of our countries and our origins.
I have always liked history, as I love to learn more about the past of my home country and to know what it was like at that time, a few centuries ago, how people lived, what their expectations were, their relationships, their struggles and their achievements.
My country by the sea is Portugal. My country Portugal, despite being a small country with a population of approximately only ten million people, is a very well-known country in world history, especially in the era of discoveries, where the conquests of the Portuguese spread throughout the world, the conquest of new worlds, new lands, new civilizations and new routes, mainly maritime, which made them known to the world.
The Age of Discovery occurred around the 15th century, when the Portuguese began to discover the islands of Madeira and the Azores, archipelagos that are still part of Portugal today, despite having administrative autonomy.
But the Portuguese did not limit themselves to discovering the islands mentioned above, they went in search of new sea routes and reached India by a sea route that they made known to the world, but they also went to Brazil, to Africa where they remained for many years and to many places in the world, where they made themselves known and got to know new peoples and civilizations, and also many new cultures and ways of life.
Not everything in my country's history is wonderful. These conquests, this discovery of new worlds, new lands and new peoples, also led to the loss of many human lives, who sacrificed themselves in these adventures. But there is also the cruelest page in history, when the Portuguese in Brazil, Africa and elsewhere, made slaves and imposed human slavery. This is something we must remember so that it never happens again, because no one should be a slave to anyone and no people are superior to another. We must treat everyone equally, and human dignity must exist among peoples and civilizations, with respect for all.
But as we know, the history of all countries is made up of victories and defeats, of achievements and losses, but that is how history is written, not everything is a fairy tale, and remembering history is remembering our ancestors, what they did good and bad, learning from their achievements, but also from their mistakes, trying not to make them again.
And we must all be aware that we are also part of history, what we do today will be written in the history of this time when our grandchildren and future generations one day read about this time, so we must try to write this history in the best way possible, and leave lessons for future generations, this is also one of our tasks in this world, to follow our path and write our own history that will be marked forever in books and pages for future generations.

Olá comunidade e amigos, hoje um tema que nos remete para a história dos nossos países e das nossas origens.
Sempre gostei de história, pois adoro saber mais sobre o passado do meu país de origem e saber como era naquela época, há alguns séculos atrás, como viviam as pessoas, quais as suas expectativas, as suas relações, as suas lutas e as suas conquistas.
O meu país à beira-mar é Portugal. O meu país Portugal, apesar de ser um país pequeno com uma população de aproximadamente apenas dez milhões de pessoas, é um país muito conhecido na história mundial, especialmente na época dos descobrimentos, onde as conquistas dos portugueses se espalharam pelo mundo, a conquista de novos mundos, novas terras, novas civilizações e novas rotas, principalmente marítimas, que os tornaram conhecidos do mundo.
A Era dos Descobrimentos ocorreu por volta do século XV, quando os portugueses começaram a descobrir as ilhas da Madeira e dos Açores, arquipélagos que ainda hoje fazem parte de Portugal, apesar de terem autonomia administrativa.
Mas os portugueses não se limitaram a descobrir as ilhas acima referidas, foram à procura de novas rotas marítimas e chegaram à Índia por uma rota marítima que deram a conhecer ao mundo, mas também foram ao Brasil, a África onde permaneceram muitos anos e a muitos lugares do mundo, onde se deram a conhecer e conheceram novos povos e civilizações, e também muitas novas culturas e modos de vida.
Nem tudo na história do meu país é maravilhoso. Estas conquistas, esta descoberta de novos mundos, novas terras e novos povos, levaram também à perda de muitas vidas humanas, que se sacrificaram nestas aventuras. Mas há também a página mais cruel da história, quando os portugueses no Brasil, em África e noutros lugares, fizeram escravos e impuseram a escravatura humana. Isto é algo que devemos lembrar para que isto nunca mais aconteça, porque ninguém deve ser escravo de ninguém e nenhum povo é superior ao outro. Devemos tratar todos de forma igual, e a dignidade humana deve existir entre os povos e as civilizações, com respeito por todos.
Mas como sabemos, a história de todos os países é feita de vitórias e derrotas, de conquistas e perdas, mas é assim que se escreve a história, nem tudo é um conto de fadas, e recordar a história é recordar os nossos antepassados, o que fizeram de bom e de mau, aprender com as suas conquistas, mas também com os seus erros, tentando não os voltar a cometer.
E todos nós devemos ter consciência que também fazemos parte da história, o que fizermos hoje ficará escrito na história deste tempo quando os nossos netos e gerações futuras um dia lerem sobre este tempo, por isso devemos tentar escrever esta história da melhor forma possível, e deixar lições para as gerações futuras, esta é também uma das nossas tarefas neste mundo, trilhar o nosso caminho e escrever a nossa própria história que ficará marcada para sempre nos livros e nas páginas para as gerações futuras.
