Honestly we would all agree with the fact that we can't stay for a whole day without having to go through our phones, laptops even when most times it's not work related.
Most of us are always on our phones or any other screen like equipment just to kill boredom, either to see a movie, football, comedy or any other shows that we enjoy watching for the fun of it.
Then to most people who work for long hours on their phone or computer to make ends meet, because honestly the benefits gained from using our phones or computers, is just too numerous that we do not wish to lose. But then getting addicted to these systems without taking proper care of ourselves would lead to greater damage to our body system.
So we shouldn't ignore our health rather we should adjust and set out some rules to guide on our daily activities, because 'Health they say is wealth'. If you wanna be wealthy live a healthy life.
Some months back, I had this serious headache I felt like some group of drummers were banging on my head initially I had no idea what the cause was so I still went ahead with my normal activities. I had little control of my screen time, my eyes were always on the screen from the tv set to my phone then back to the tv set. Then it got to a point were I started feeling pains and itchy in my eyes it got bad that for a week I couldn't stare at my phone comfortably for a long time.
Then I realized that I only have this headaches and itchy eye whenever I'm constantly glued to my phone for hours, without doing any other thing, just scrolling my screen without any form of break or relaxation. So I learnt some basic rules to follow, to avoid going through pains whenever I'm on my phone.
First I started with reducing my phone screenlight and also at night I turn on an extra light to avoid the screenlight from my phone being the brightest in the room that way it avoids my phone light from going directly into my eyes.
Then I learned a good sitting posture to help reduce both back and neck pain, I always try to sit comfortably most time I place a towel or a soft cloth round my neck, then I take a short walk/stroll without operating my phone I stretch my hands, legs and even my fingers to avoid having cramps.
Then lastly, whenever I feel bored and the urge to press my phone to kill boredom I would just take a nap instead.
