Hello and happy new year everyone. It's been a while since I made my last post on the Hive Learners community but with the start of a new year, I want to resume my writing once again and what's the best way to start that is by setting up new Hive goals for 2025 or to be more accurate, revised my 2024 plans to make a more achievable 2025 goals so before I procced with my goals, here is a short summary of my 2024 progress versus my 2024 Hive goals as written on this post.

3000 Comments2,730 Comments270 Comments Short
2500 HP1922 HP578 HP Short
500 HBD479 HBD21 HP Short

Comparing my 2024 goals with my actual result, we can see that I have not achieved any of the goals that I set last year which is quite disappointing even though I set my goals realistically based on my 2023 Hive result. There are various reasons for this but reflecting on it, if only I could meet my post target, I could also most likely able to achieve the rest of my goals. Taking, the results in considerations, I will have a more conservative goals this year to make it more within my capability.

I did not include hive gaming goals in this as I already have create a separate Post for Splinterlands an was planning to make another one for Hollozing.

  • Make at least 3 post per week

Last year, I set my goal to write at least 5 goals per week but this year, but as sad as it is, I plan to downscale it to at least 3 per week or 156 post this year. The main reason for it has to do with my current job and the time it takes to travel from my home to my workplace which I have expressed in my various post and it has just gone on months prior to the holiday season, making me unable to write and the only time I could write was during weekends. But now that the holidays has finally ended, I think that I could finally write more though I do not want to overestimate myself so I reduced my post goal to 3.

  • Achieved 4000 HP

As of the Writing of this post, I have a total of 1932.419 HP and 479.098 HBD worth of savings within my account which is short from my 2024 goals but for me to reach 3500 HP, I will need to have at least 1567.581 HP though having to scaled down the number of post that I make, it may not be as feasible to reach if I just rely only on my post rewards so aside from making post, I will also power up more frequently by exchanging my HBD rewards for liquid hive or have my post 100% Hive power but this also means that I do not have any particular goals when it comes to my Hive savings.

  • Complete 2025 HPUD and HPUM

To compensate with my last of post with the previous months, I try to instead use some of my HBD rewards in order to buy liquid hive and power it up, participating on #HPUD and this year, my goal is to participate and complete 2025 #HPUD by powering up at least 10 Hive every first day of the month.

My 2024 HPUD Badge

Furthermore, I also have successfully have completed PUM for the months of November and December 2024 and my plan for this year is to complete the 2025 PUM which means that I need to power up at least 1 Hive every day. This also means that in order to make this possible, I should not initiate any power down.

And with that, I just have my first power up of the year yesterday followed by another power up this day. It also benefits me because accounts that participate on this will be able to receive some HP delegations from @hivebuzz to increase my voting power.

  • Reach a total of 5000 comments within the year

Based on #HiveRecap2024, to my 2730 comments, only 736 of those where the comments that I made last year despite the fact that engagement was very important in Hive. So while, I have downscale with my post goals, I plan to compensate that by starting to be more active in engaging with other authors by commenting in their post even though on days that I did not make any post in order to have a total of 5000 comments before the year ends. That means that I need to make at least 2270 comments which can be quite a huge bar for me and who knows if I will be able to achieve it but it will at least motivate me to upscale the number of comments that I make each day and was certainly easier than creating long form content.

And with that, I have laid out my goals for 2025 and some of the steps that I need to do in order to reach my target. I may have downscale on some of my goals but I also set some new goals to help grow my account because I believe on the Hive Blockchain and I am here for long term growth.

Thank you for reading my post and see you on the next one!

We have one way or the other have one or more progresses on hive. Making three posts per week is not a bad idea.

Yeah... Everyone has different time they can spend on Hive and progress is still progress no matter how small it is.

Thanks for reading! 😁

Firstly, Congratulations to you for successfully participating in HPUD.
Last year is already gone and you didn't achieve your hive goals but it's the end already and there is nothing to regret. I hope this year you will do better than the last year and I hope you will achieve al the goals of the year. Best of luck to you.

Thanks! Hopefully, I could also participate the upcoming HPUD and complete all power up months. I also hope that you will do better this year than the last year same as with your goals.

While you didn't achieve the goals you laid out last year, you sure came close enough. I'm sure if you had been active for longer, you would have smashed them easily. I'm sure that this year, you'll be able to cross the threshold you set for yourself. You've got this!😌

Indeed. There were lost of interesting topics last year I wish could write about but just doesn't have enough time but will really try to hit my goals this year. Thanks! 😁

Looking at your 2024 goals and what you achieved, you did well to an extent..
I guess you just need to put in more work.

Awesome achievements @saydie
