RAM - Random Access Memory

It's been such a long time since I wrote in Hive Learners. The topics that I always wanted to do landed on the date I wasn't free or I had plans to write about another topic. Finally, I got the chance and now I'm going to hit you with a bang about being forgetful.

Just like how my computer has 16GB of memory, I also have a limited amount of memory. Just a fun fact, humans have an average of 2.5 million GB of memory; this is what I found when I google searched it. Honestly, I don't feel like I have 2.5m GB of memory. What do you think of this?

Throughout life, I have been forgetful at times. I believe everyone has forgotten something once whether it be an event, doing their homework etc. There is no doubt about it. Sometimes what I forgot was a small thing and meaningless and sometimes I forgot important things. For example, I remember forgetting about bringing my homework to school, forgetting what I wanted to say in a presentation, forgetting someone's birthday and the list goes on and on.

Recently, I forgot something important and you can see this based on the screenshot of my text message below. I had a friend who was having a grand opening for his second batik shop. For those that don't know batik is a type of clothing where the design is made with wax and it has a cultural significance in Malaysia. Anyways, I recently locked in and started to learn to trade memecoins and I just totally forgot about his grand opening. I had dinner with my boss at Sunset Junction that day which you can find in my most recent eating-out post. At that dinner, I found out that my boss went to his grand opening and then I remembered about it and felt bad. When I got home, I sent him this text message apologizing about forgetting his grand opening. He was totally cool about it but I still felt bad.

I'm the type of person that tries to remember things and keep things in their head if possible. I decided to change this and try to make it so I won't forget important events again. I have recently started keeping track of certain events on my calendar on my phone. If I'm not mistaken, it is google calendar. This should help me to remember key events. The only way this could fail is if I forget to key in the event into the calendar or stop maintaining this good habit.

In conclusion, we all have forgotten something at a certain point of time. I don't think it's the end of the world but there are steps that we can do to avoid it. One possible solution is keeping notes on a calendar as I mentioned. There are many other solutions and it depends on the individual to decide which solutions works for them so they can minimize forgetting things. I know crypto and the world has been crazy. I hope you all can remember to spend time with your family during the holidays this month and have a great end of the year!

16G, that's almost as big my raid drive 4 x 4.2GB SCSI total hard drive storage space back in the mid 90s 😂 which totally shocking at that time.

raid drive? is that what they called hard drive back then

haha wah this like going back to school. now can just ask chatgpt faster leh XD. it's still used now though but more for enterprise

You can use software to emulate raid drive by installing multiple hard drive to simulate raid array. Those days when only IDE drive available, there's limited storage device that can installed into a computer, and therefore required SCSI card to plonk more hard drive.

haha honestly barely understood what you just said xD. for a mediocre old man your tech knowledge quite strong leh. You know how to build PC ah?

It's ok, you already got the idea of what RAID is, just do the new way. I can build computers and servers. My last built ran windows server 2008, that's like almost 2 decades ago. I'm no longer competent in technology since I have joined the sales team. Cheers

Ya I kind of get the jist of it. That's cool! Next time i build my pc i go find you so I don't get ripped off lol. Need to print some money from memetrading first

Here, if you haven't watch this before. Nowadays, I set reminder on everything important. I think pretty soon I need someone to remind me to check my reminder.

ok just finished this. I'm not sure if i watched this before lol. It seems familiar. It could be something that a teacher shared in school @_@. damn tho that anime part tho :x

Yeah man it's part of our busy lives! Nowadays it's easy to avoid these things using all the tech gadgets we have at our disposal, only thing is to get this in to your system and check it regularly 😁
My wife is my calendar for most things tho 😂

woah you have a good wife. are you telling me to get a wife? XD. It's rough out here no rush though eventually will find a life partner one day
