Society has never stop evolving, many things change over time, whether it's customs, the way of living or working, everything changes sooner or later. In the issue I want to focus on, work, we know about the imminent risk that artificial intelligence can bring us Regarding the replacement of human labor. It is still far away, but it can happen. We know that the future is always geared towards this, more production and less spending, and unfortunately AI may end up bringing us this.

But this post is not about this relationship between AI and jobs. In fact, an interesting change is beginning to be implemented in some parts of the world. With some tests and observations, the workday seems to be moving in small steps towards a change that is very pleasing. to the common worker, just like you and me. What change would that be? Simply the work week being only four days long and not five, as is the case for some employees who work hard to earn their hard-earned salary every day.

With the work routine being only four days, the bet is on that old idea of “a happy employee is an employee who produces more”, which unfortunately many bosses still do not understand is exactly the secret to a person producing more, being even more grateful for their precious work, instead, just more stressful work routines, focusing only on working, only that, without benefits, without time off, without a decent salary, just ear pulling and very strict rules, which fall on the employee, turning him into a real flesh and blood robot.

With a reduced work week, focus is essential, as your way of functioning is to have exactly four days of work instead of five, Therefore, it is necessary to have a committed and determined team to achieve everything in these days. The interesting thing is that, despite having one less business day, the idea is that the salary remains the same, without deductions or anything like that, which in my opinion makes everything more incredible, because this way, the employee will donate everything of yourself in these four days, as you will have your earnings maintained and still have three days off to spend with your family or move forward with your personal projects.

This is the key point, with a 4-day work week, you will theory wins Friday, Saturday and Sunday, three days of relaxation at home, where you can really enjoy your family more calmly, without the rush of having to do everything outside of work in just two days. For those of us who work with Hive would be perfect, as it is a personal project. Having three days to stay at home could really help us interact more calmly, creating higher quality content and responding to people more slowly, as well as being good for anything else you do. If you want to do something, a trip, a fishing trip, it would be three days that would certainly help us recover our energy and improve our mood.

Therefore, just as remote work arrived and changed the work routine a little, I am very much in favor of a four-day work week, I believe this would be good for everyone. Employees, with an extra day of rest and without penalties, they would return to their work more focused and happy and consequently this would increase their efficiency and production as a grateful response to this new model that would value their health, rest and time with friends and family.

I agree, and I also am in favor of the four-days work week.
When employees get more time to themselves, to attend to their other concerns, as well as rest, they feel a sense of gratitude to their employers and more enthusiasm to give in their best at their jobs, especially as they must have been rejuvenated from the stress of the work through the previous week

Exactly, everyone wins with this. I remember that I've seen this subject in some reports, it seems that they did tests in Japan and some countries in Europe, I remember that everything was very positive, so, if implemented en masse, it may be that the production and efficiency of everyone involved will improve a lot.

Thx for the support! o/

The four day work week is great for most industries and should be implemented to save costs. Some governments have even tried using it but gave it up because taxpayers complained....

It's nice having a three day weekend every week for sure!

I think it depends a lot on each profession. For example, this 4-day model would be better suited to the IT sector, which already has a good synergy with remote working, but every employee would certainly be grateful to have 3 days off without losing any of their salary.

If this happens, it will be good for all of us, but people who own businesses and have employees will not be happy at all because it will reduce their production. And when the production is less, their profit will also be less.

I'm sure they think that this won't make a profit, after all it's one less day's work, but then there's good communication with the team and the willpower of everyone to really deliver a better project or piece of work.

In this case they would have to focus twice as much to get an extra day off in return, it's a complicated term to arrive at, but it's not impossible.

Yeah I totally agree with you.
