I started the series on attaining financial freedom, in which I discussed the importance of transformation. I made mention that transformation begins with the mind, and within it we can define a man's presence and possibly his future.

The quality of a man's life is based on the quality of his mind. A man's ability to think can save him from challenges and hard times. At the same time, a man's thoughts can also attract negative and difficult situations to him.

A man should also be careful of his words, words come with great power, as the first word ever mentioned was for creation. Hence the importance of affirmations—the use of the power of words to bring positivity into our lives.

In this post, I will be discussing more about the concept of trade and how it is a necessity or a path towards financial freedom.

Before Currency was Printed

Early before the use of printed money, our forefathers were able to get what they wanted by the means of trade. i.e. You get what you want by offering something valuable in return. You give something to receive something. This was how the system ran in the old days, before the printing of money or the use of currency.

The point here we should note is that they give out value to gain value back in return

You can only attain value (money) from the value you are able to offer. What I mean by this is that the word "value" is not limited to items you exchange; it can also mean using your skills to solve the problems of individuals and receive money in return, which is a form of trade that takes place.

Hence, no one can be truly financially rich without partaking in any form of trade. Your trade needs to provide a solution to the need of your neighbour to receive something of value and in this case, we mean money. It all works like this: you solve the problem of the person around you, and they pay you for what you have done. That is an exchange that involves you offering your skillset for money.

The value of the income you make depends on three things:

The problem you solve or the value you offer
how good you are in solving e problem,
and the difficulty of replacing you with someone else.

If you take a good look at the top billionaires we have today, you will notice they all have businesses in which they solve problems and offer services to people. That is the source of their wealth. It is a necessity to the path of financial freedom.

In the next part of the series, I will discuss more about credibility, and I will expand on these three points that your income is dependent on. Feel free to contribute to this topic if you have another point of view or something to contribute as well.

Sort:

The world billionaires look at the problems we have in the world and provide a solution to those problems. They know that no matter how hard things can be, we’d patronize them since we want our problems to end
