Respect: the foundation for a better society.

in #hive-1538502 months ago

Looking at our new generstion , I alwsys like to compare it with our days. But in no way I can able to relate with my time , everything changed, and so does the lifestyle and people approach to life. Yesterday, I dialled my nephew for some work related to at home, but he didn't picked up. It took me 4-5 attempt to finally get an answer. And as expected it was lame excuse, as the guy was sleeping in the evening. It was quite a surprising for me, as I remember, In my days, we used to play rather than sitting at home. So much have changed, and it took numerous lesson to bring to make people realize what they have been missing.

Today's generation have been relaying on internet for almost everything in their day to day life. In contrast, older generation used to depend upon themselves to get their work done. And when it comes to life style people of present generation enjoy easier lives when compared with the older ones.

Current generations can differ from past generations in many ways, including their use of technology, work styles, and values:

  • Technology: Generation Z is tech-savvy from a young age, using social media and mobile devices for communication and learning. They are also quick to adapt to technological changes.

  • Work styles: Younger generations may be more innovative, adventurous, and quick learners than older generations. Older generations may have had more responsibilities throughout their careers, but younger generations may be prioritizing fulfilling their dreams.

  • Values: Today families may differ from previous generations in terms of financial independence of women, technology uniting families, and retirement goals. For example, more Indians are choosing not to have children and are prioritizing a comfortable retirement.

Other characteristics of Generation Z include:

  • Living more slowly than previous generations

  • Lower rates of teenage pregnancy
    Consuming alcohol less often

  • Prioritizing saving money

  • Enjoying travel

  • Being prone to anxiety

  • Viewing gaming as more than a hobby

  • Shaping culture through social media

Lesson for New generstion - "Respect"

One particular drawback that unusually notices among the younger generation is the loss of respect. It not only related tonrespecting human being, but they fall short in respect of time, money as well. Peoole are not ready to respect money and keep on overspending on unnecessary item. Likewise, they do not show any respect for time. They spend many idle hours on social media account rather than any productive activities, just un case with my nephew. And when it comes to respecting individuals or humanity, I think they have forgone in the race of technology and glamorous lifestyle. Respecting alwsys has multiple benefits.

  • When people respect each other's ideas and opinions, they are more likely to communicate openly and honestly. This can create a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable expressing themselves and working together.

  • Respect can help build trust and strengthen relationships. People feel respected when they are heard and understood, and being genuinely interested in others can help convey this.

  • Respecting others can boost their confidence and self-esteem by acknowledging their efforts, talents, and skills.

  • Respect can help people feel like they belong, which can lead to increased commitment to their workplace.

I belive many have forgotten the dedication of respect and how to show respect. Here are some easy way to show respect to others.

Be kind and courteous

Be polite and avoid interrupting

Listen to others and respect their differences

Think before you speak, and be mindful of your language and tone

Lend a helping hand or ear, and practice compassion

Take care of your things and the things of others

Make good choices to take care of the environment

It does not take much to show respect. But people have forget that. We need to remind the basic necessity to save humanity. It is not a big task, but people need to put them into practice.

Peace!!

Respect, I believe, is the basis of every society, or should be, of every person, in order to live in harmony and to develop the points you raise. What a great value and word!

Haha 😂 this next generation surely doesn't know how to respect older people and I can't place a finger on what is causing such a thing because every parent always makes sure to teach their children how to respect people but yet they won't listen.
The Internet has taken away the morals in them.

Mere saying doing the formality is what avoiding the generstion to take this seriously... in today's time parent have no time for kids so how they going to learn.

Advising the next generation to learn how to respect elders is sure paramount as this is gradually fading away in our time and dispensation. So the next generation needs to know and learn how important it is to acknowledge elders.

Once the respect comes back to people the world would have been a better place to live in

That's so true.

All of the ways you've listed to show respect had been practiced by the previous generation but for the young ones nowadays, I think the probability is 1/10 where in 10 Gen Z only 1 has been practicing the ways to respect. So sad to hear about it.😌

Yes....it better to put them.in kidd...they need to adspt them in family.
