Taking charge of my financial future - Money talks.

Our parents have alwsys been a guifing force innour life. They alwsys impart us with good lnol3dge andbtheir experince. One teaching that, I am thankful to my parents are they way they taught us the importance of utilising the money. Earning money in a rightful manner is not easy. It takes a lot of smart work and understanding to make some earning. But more importantly, it is about putting in right use of the money. My parent alwsys lays emphasis of putting a portion of money i to saving to fulfill our desires. It is important to learn to save first than going out for spending.

I have seen many people getting into a habbit of over spending as soon as they start earning. There was a guy I known before. He belongs from a power family. But they day he got a job, he start over spending. From expensive footwear to clothing to fooding. He is not valuing money and alwsys ask for more. Since the day he began earning, his cost of living increased and at many I found him begging for money from others during the closing days. It is one of the worst habit people gets into as soon they see inflow of money. In my opinion the right attitude is to respect the money and never let it sleep put of your hand.

I can understand that every individual have certain desires in life. And they like to fulfil them once theybget any source of income. But in process of fulfilling the desires, it is important not to let loose of our hand. The best teaching that I had from my parents werr to utilise the money according to the inflow. A person is needed to make put a balance between their inflow of income and outflow of income. It is not necessary that in pursuit to fulfill their desires they end up messing with the financial planning. Once a person start earning, it is important that he should start following a financial plan. The plan must includes not to over spend. One should have a limited spend and higher savings in life to fulfill their desires in life.

Financially focused.!!

Not everyone will teach you these basic things in life. Many people like to over spend. Even I was one in the queue. The day tmi began earning, I applied for credit card, it was first step towards over spending. Owning a credit card means making purchases in credit. And per our culture, "the happiest person is one who does not have any debt on his head." Owning a credit card is nothing more differrnt than a debt. A persin started to utilize the credit card assuming that they have to pay it later, bit the future is uncertain, then how could they assure that they will get the debt paid. If a person unable to manage the credit card properly, he ends up in the vicious circle of spoiling their habbit. They went out to make costly purchases and ends up not paying in time. As said, more power bring in more responsibility. Like the day, a person start earning, they assume themselves to be more responsible than get into any irresponsible habits.

This is what my Dad puts into our head since childhood. He alwsys make sure that what ever we spend, we use our piggy money on sensible item, we alwsys avoid any misuse and focus on utilising the money in the best case. Even if we have any desires, we make proper provision for it, before going ahead with fulfilling them. This is what makes financial planning very important in our life.

Peace!!

I particularly resonated with your point about budgeting giving you freedom rather than restricting you. It's so true that being intentional with your money allows you to align spending with priorities and goals.

The proper and sensible use of money and good money management are essential for a stable financial future ... this is a learning process, but it is very important.

Many people ignore it, and they wanted to lead a lavish lifestyle.....but in process missed out on many things.

Too many things and all of them important.

It sounds like you learned a lot of great tools from your parents when it comes to money. Mine taught me quite a bit too. It wasn't really directly, but I watched them and I learned that way.

Belonging from middle class in India have certain advantage ..people get matured much earlier than expected. 😁

Financial discipline is absolutely the best as it helps us manage our resource even when it isn't enough.

It's a good thing when kids acquire financial discipline right from home other than learning from their mistake and from experience, falling victim makes financial lesson sink differently.

Lack of respect for money makes us run out of it earlier than expected and that's why saving is very important because of days that might require falling back on our savings.
